  • Re: MCL 2AV power supply polarity?

Any standard 12 volt unregulated power unit will do,as a regulator is built into the B&O unit. In the UK,a suitable supply is available from www.maplin.co.uk . with part no.GS75S.It's supplied with various size connectors, and the polarity can be altered as required

  • Re: BeoLink Pass. vs. ML/MCL conv.

Yes indeed, the ML/MCL converter and Passive are in fact the same beast, and very versatile too! Simply connecting a ML sensor to the unit, converts it to a Beolink Passive, where you have independant volume, bass and treble control.Without the sensor, the unit can be used as a slave amplifier, say to drive passive speakers from Powerlink connections. Also

  • Re: Beomaster 6000

Is it a silly question or do you just need to reset the stored volume level?

  • Re: Controlling a Beomaster 7000 in a cabinet

There was a mod kit from B&O to do this, but it involved dismantling the equipment and running a cable out the back of the Beomaster to a special receiver. Are you using a two way remote device, such as BL7000,or the simpler BL1000/Beo4? The simplest method,is of course to use another Link kit,it's no problem that you have one on the system already

  • Re: adjusting beovision LX screen geometry

There are several presets to adjust the picture geometry, but they become intermittant with age,and cause these sort of problems. It would be best to get them replaced by a competant Engineer, who can then set up the geometry accordingly for you.Don't explore inside yourself,it can be lethal in there, for the inexperienced!!

  • Re: Beovision 7802 SCART and modern products

You need to change the output settings of the Panasonic from RGB to Composite CVBS video. You may need to do this via another tv in order to display the set up menu. You may also need to disconnect pin 8 in the connecting Scart cable, otherwise, there should be problem using the two sets. Alternatively, you could use a cvbs only Scart cable, which has only

  • Re: MCL X-TRA Speaker Kit NOT sure what I have

These were the original MCL 2a kits.Essentially the same as the later Extra Speaker Kits, except for software. You may have some problems with av functions, but if you only plan to use the kits for audio, you should be ok. In any case you can use the later transceiver (in white)to overcome software clashes! Regards, Nick
