Sounds like the ML has become unbalanced on one side. Either pin 15 or 16 is down (probably). Not sure if the BeoLab 5s will actually listen to the S/PDIF from the BeoMaster 5 unless it's set up properly as they only activate the digital inputs when in CD mode...

The wavelengths involved will be pretty huge in comparison to the size of the bookshelf, so I can't see that it's going to cause any issues. I'd put it in a section by itself without any books though...

Sounds like you are plugging the audio sources into the OUTPUTS on the Beomaster, not it's inputs. It's an easy mistake to make as I've seen so many cables where the labelling is the wrong way round! Check your connections again and if you're currently connected into the inputs, try swapping to the outputs on the DIN connectors. Each
