jandyt: After getting off the bus we all meandered down into the Farm and congregated in the famous lobby with the piano. This is the stunning Edina next to the piano, but who is this seated? Hi I'm Carsten from Denmark. Nice pictures !!!

Torben is demonstrating here the use of domestic cleaning products on the back of a Beovision. By dragging this small brass weight up and down over the surface with an abrasive cleaner like Vim then examining the results, he can then compare with different weights and different cleaners.

The two bottles behind Torbens right wrist contain, wait for it....... Sweat and stale sweat! Simulations of course. These bottles of sweat are squirted on things like remotes and Beocom keypads and then baked on. Ughh, great job

120 fags a day! That is what this machine smokes. The colour of the glass is enough to make any smoker think about the colour of their lungs.

I took a solitary jaunt down a corridor and looked through the window at the far end. This is what I saw. Somehow, I can't see this becoming a future Matchbox Model of Yesteryear!

In the viewing room we were sat in rows looking at two massive screens. One was HD ready and the other Full HD. I have to confess, I know very little about the difference.

However, I can see the difference in the quality of the small details. It's a bit difficult to show on my photo's, not having a fancy camera like Ed but you can see the difference in the grey/white boxes a third of the way down the screen. The screen on the right shows many smal lines that appear to move whereas the Full HD is much sharper. One of the other comparison pictures was a scene of a huge crowd of people outside a landmark building. There were railings in that picture and they only looked correct in the Full HD picture.

Once the curtains were pulled back I was a bit suprised to see Beolab 9s. I should have guessed really as I had heard them once before on launch day in my local dealers. I had forgot how good the acoustic lens was at throwing the sound up into the room. Once again, even the bookshelf is there for a reason, some of the books are actually dummies.

His name is Gert Munch, pronounced Gird Monk and I just had to shake his hand and give him a resounding THANK YOU! Now we know he didn't design the Pentas as we all know this was down to Lone and Gideon Lindinger-Loewy, so I guess that he was involved in the fine tuning and positioning of the drivers and amplifyers etc Just behind him is a hatchway into the cube. I am the ugly mug on the left.

jandyt: After all three groups had seen these three exhibitions we all congregated in the lobby again. We were now going to visit the mechanical plant but sadly we had to hand in our cameras and mobiles. This is the reception window were we handed them in. The models on the window ledge stand about two inches tall. If I can ever afford a pair of Beolab 5s,it will probably be these ones!
Thanks Andy for your nice feedback. Relating to those cute replicas, I'd get some of those ones* if I couldn't get a real pair of BL5's too ! * if B&O sells them of course... Guy

Cheers Guy. I had worked that out after asking a similar question when he was dressed in red! Earlier on in this thread I added a link to your thread on the French forum, with your superb photo's. All the best, Guy. Your friend, Andy.
