Wonderful pictures and Frede's shelves bring back memories! I am afraid my house has been de-B&O'd somewhat these days (though I do still have my fair share!) I also have never had the skill needed to weave the magic that Frede does. I like the helicopter! Shows a good healthy interest in one's inner child! I have a 5 1/2 foot steam ship with working steam engine in my spare room - needs restoration but great fun and similar reason, I imagine! Laughing

A trivia question for you, Peter. Given your trivia quiz you should be game!

Do you see the two brass "containers" next to the black B&O 608 stereo amplifier, second shelf down from the tail of the helicopter?

    What are they?

They look like the grilles for the B&O tweeters with the ALT lenses from the late 50s/early 60s.

Knew it wouldn't take you long. Had never seen them before, until Frede showed them to me.
He said the dispersion principle of these was later picked up with the Beovox 2500s.

Was fun seeing the driver aimed vertically at a dispersion lens in a product that old.

Re: My trip to Struer. By Andy T. Photo's by Andy T.

Well, time was wearing on and we had to head back to the hotel as more Beoworlders were arriving all the time. On the way back on the ferry, I got my money out ready to pay the ferryman but wasn't asked for it. The £9 was for a two way trip!
When we got back, people were arriving in dribs and drabs and most of them including ourselves were begining to think about food!
Yesterday on one of my walkabouts, I had noticed a pizza place that was open until later than the Grand's own restaurant so started to herd everybody towards it. We left a message with reception to tell new arrivals where we were.
When we entered, we asked if they didn't mind sliding three tables together and they happily obliged. As more and more of our group arrived they had to keep adding more tables!
Now this is where I'm going to struggle a bit. You see, I'm not very good with names at the best of times, and now I had the extra confusion of Beoworld IDs on top of this.
If you see yourself in any of these photo's and I haven't got your name right, let us all know which is you please.
This one shows Ed (Holland) next to Kevin (Vinke from Germany) and in red opposite is Hebo I think(Patrik fom Sweden)

This one shows Tibor (From Budapest in Hungary) with his wife Edina in the light green top. Next to her is Birgit (Germany) opposite her husband, Stefan in grey.

This one taken from the other end of the table. You must remember, everyone hadn't arrived yet.
The two in white are French as is the guy with his back towards us. Who is this in blue?

We all seemed to enjoy our meal and the staff seemed to cope quite well with the sudden influx of multi-nationals. Not bad since they only had one English menu!
After this, we went back to the hotel bar. Thankfully, The Happy Penguin was shut!
Lee suddenly showed his true colours, he was obviously cut out to be a market trader! Yes, he took over one of the tables to display Beoworld T-shirts, Polo shirts and all manner of other Beoworld goodies.
Most of us had retired by midnight, we didn't want hangovers to spoil tomorrow!

    Poor me, never win owt!

Day Three, Monday 30 April 2007

We had all arrived by now, there were 27 of us! We started to congregate in the carpark before 8.00 am as that is when B&O had arranged the bus to pick us up.
In the foreground of this picture are mostly the French contingent. The man dressed in all black is Guy Hui, not pronounced Gooey Hooey but rhyming with Kiwi. Guy has put a lot of really good photo's on the French forum. I don't think the chap in red is French. Please post who he is if you know.
Edit--- The guy in red is indeed Emmanuel92 and is from the French connection.

Can I suggest (with more worked from Andy - sorry) that on completion of this thread all of Andy's posts be compiled in a single document and then listed in the articles section (or somewhere similar) so that it doesn't get lost.
