Just to say that I have had two cups of coffee in my life! Revolting stuff. Although it smells devine. Tea all the way with me.
I've been drinking tea for ages, although this has not always been the case. I started drinking coffee when I was about 13 years old. I stopped a few years after that and never touched the stuff again. About a year ago I rediscoverd coffee. I only drink it occasionally, usually with a splash of liquor...

I love coffee! Tea is pretty great too.
I have coffee almost daily and have been doing so since about 16. So long ago 16!...
I like my coffee black and not so hot. Hate having a cup I can barely hold in my hand cause its scalding. Lately I've been on an iced coffee kick. Once winter comes I'll switch back to regular.
As I type this, I'm actually enjoying a glass of iced earl grey.

I agree Evan, coffee too hot is not nice. (Mc Donald's hot)
I haven't used my home espresso machine for atleast 6months now, I think there was something wrong with mine from the start, it's leaking, can't hold the pressure iside the gruppo...
Hopefully yours Graham won't get the same problem.
The machine I bought for my restaurant is a superb machine indeed! Very expensive, but well worth it's price. I would love to have one at home.

I agree! Actually you're to blame for my rediscovered interest in coffee.

Well, I programmed it to brew just before I wake up so there will be fresh coffee waiting for me. I am the only person that drinks coffee in this house and have never had a coffee maker at home before, just really excited! Only 6 hours and some minutes to go...

I'm a 2-3 doppios ( double shot esperesso ) before lunch ...then I one after lunch ( and an extra one just beofre going to the gym ).
Nothing beats the smell of a freshly opened bag of ground coffee.
We have a local brand called Vittoria which is quite good.

Nice photgraph Mark.
I think you and I purchased our cabinets from the same source. I like your undercabinet lighting idea too: Good for Midnight snacking.
The Beosound 8 is a nice touch.

I'm currently slightly rethinking my kitchen lighting, and while playing with some LED strips considered the same idea... but noticed that it would mostly illuminate breadcrumbs!
But yes, that's a very nice looking kitchen and would do well in the "Flash your B&O" thread
Me, I'm stuck with a basic coffee machine and a couple of Bialetti Moka pots.

Since an incident this May, I am thinking of strip lighting in Kitchen.
My wife and I were in Brasil. A neighbor asked if we could keep a small 1m+ marsh snake overnight in a cage he had in our Servico room adjacent to the Kitchen. His wife did not want it kept overnight at her property for some reason. It was going to a University the next day.
We examined the cage and it looked secure enough. We've had reptiles before with the kids. That night came an electrical storm, hot, tropical, and wet. My wife woke up during the night and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, stepping on the escaped snake in her bare feet on the nice warm granite floor tiles. Between the lightning flashes, and yells, I had to recover the poor reptile , lock it a bit better this time, and then calm the wife down at 0300. No coffee was needed at sunrise.
Since then the idea of strip lighting seems a necessary item all of a sudden. Breadcrumbs highlighted would not be a problem.

Evan you will need this one, grinder brewer with timer, the grinding sequence will wake up the whole house. The grinder wakes me every morning, my wife statrts it, after grinding it starts brewing, and the heavenly smell goes through the whole house, that smell gets me out of bed, bathrope on, down to the kittchen and the first cup of Joe is there, life is wonderful.

Hello,
I am Teus from The Netherlands.
I use a twenty year old Vibiemme Domobar Super Nero. I rebuilt it for my needs, including old style piston, old black painted drawer, lengthened teawater sprout, temperature settings accesible from the front. All using rare and original parts. The machine is connected to main water.
Next to it is a Macap M4D stepless Grinder in black. (in the picture it's my old Elektra Grinder) I use a concave ECM tamper.
All and all it may not be the best setup but it is tailored to my needs
Btw, I am a service engineer on espresso machines like Isomac, Vibiemme, Bezzera, Ecm, Rocket Espresso, Nuovo Simonelli, Gaggia, Jura, Saeco and Solis (and several more brands).

Hello Craig,
just saw you are interested in a espresso machine but have limited space.
I can recommend the Quickmill 820. It is less the 8*8inch. It is the machine I take when I go on holiday by car.
It's a simple machine, not the greatest for cappucino but for espresso it is very good.
Regards,
Teus (the Netherlands)
