If they have 3 models of 2 way remotes in development, how far must those be out? 12 to 24 month? The MOTS technology to discover my music would make much sense to me if it works on song level. without 2 way remote, I am probably stuck using it on CD to CD level since I most likely have to get up to see it. I am not saying I am not buying it, but I do not really have space for it and I wanted the 2 way badly. I probably delay and see what they come up with.

I guess this time they are pretty mild, they point out that the design is ahead of its time.

The engadget story is fairly mild compared to what others usually say. Gizmodo.com is worse with stories like this.

Especially when you're not called gizmondo.

Well Gizmodo is now reporting on the news as well, and is quoting Beoworld... http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2008/10/bang__olufsen_beosound_5_home_media_controller_spotted_blurrily-2.html

Hi wtlc... It's a minor point. Mobeyone was wondering how anything could be called gizmondo (with an n), and I pointed out the origin of the name.

Dave: It looks so cool
I think appearance is objective. I neither love nor hate the design based on the images. I'm impartial on that. However, I won't be buying it as it looks 'so cool'. I would have bought a Beocenter 2 for that reason. If it's just a device to control digital audio, I expect it to be priced to reflect that functionality. That's the reason I've not bought a Beocenter 2 - although it looks cool, it's too expensive for the purpose. Very expensive CD player.

Mobeyone - yes, very pedantic. But I got the impression the name itself didn't say much to you, and my major point was to indicate its origins. Gizmo is a common word for a "dreamer's invention" - and I'd think B&O would fit right in. :-) Fun movie, too: Gizmo.
