Hadn't noticed until Macjonny1's post that this thread was started in 2008! But - aside from the "loney hearts on a Wednesday" threads it's one of the most active for months. What's the message there?

Bayerische, you say: "Well if Apple was 5-10 times the cost of a PC, as Beovisions are to their competition, I wouldn't buy Macs. They're good, but not that good. Nothing is worth 5-10 times the competition. Apple is about 1,5 to 2 times more expensive than the PC equivalent. If Beovisions where the same, or even 3 times more expensive

Immediate thought was that B&O and Google were both taking their lead from the colour wheel but the sequence would be red/blue/green/yellow, not blue/red/green/yellow. Then I thought they are both NOT taking their cue from the colour wheel. 24 theoretical combinations and they both choose the same one. Am I becoming a conspiracy theorist?

If you are thinking of buying one then I'd go with those recommending the 9300. It does not have the two-way remote control but its more recent internal components mean you will, hopefully, enjoy it for longer. I think B&O can still provide most of the spares for the 9300 and I'm not sure that's the case for the older models (CD in particular

If that leaves the choice between the BV7 and the BV8 I'd have to go for the 7 - I know it costs a whole lot more but the sound is great and it to me it looks like a B&O TV should. The BV8

Going back to the original post - I've bought around £4.5k of stuff from MoreThanAV over the years and every item was exactly as described and well priced. In my experience, Ian is always happy to give serial numbers so you can check age/history. And everything I have bought from him came was delivered with the original receipts/handbooks

I have DTV on BC6-26 and there is a low hiss on audio - it's only really noticeable late at night if using the TV at very low volumes, but its there. I've not used the TV on analog terrestial tuner so no idea if also get the hiss then (btw, no it's not the internal fan).

I agree with Flappo that B&O need to think hard about entry level products. I guess the BV8 is in that line, although in my opinion the finish is not quite high enough to carry the B&O logo. But it is a step in the right direction. B&O need some real AV equipment that will get people to take that important first step into the brand. My first

Hi Chris, I'd be really interested in your feedback on how well the DVD MkII controller works with the 870 so please don't forget to post how you get on. Chris

Hi Chris, I posed a similar question a while back (RDR-HXD890) that you may like to check out: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/29082.aspx Jean (jvezina) told me he was using a Sony RDR-HX715 via Beo4 and could control most functions but had to use the Sony remote for title list and programme guide (which are two you'd want to use quite often
