• Re: B&O MMC10 E? Have I missed something?

I belive the MMC20 series were briefly sold as the MMC10 in the USA but they are basically the same cartridges. Simon

Seldom has more rubbish been spoken in a single paragraph than here: http://www.furutech.com/news/e-TP%20609(News)-2006.htm "The 2-Step Alpha Cryogenic and Demagnetizing Process works in tandem with other designed-in features to create the most optimized AC power transfer possible. • Re: Speakers?
There are two S45 speaker versions - the S45 & S45-2. You really want to be looking for the 45-2's as these have rubber surrounds on the bass drivers. The S45's have foam surrounds which will have disintegrated & will need refoaming (unless they have already been done). I don't know how good your

  • Re: Jensen has lost his touch

I like the cube too, but i the shelf placement oin the first picture doesn't work for me, I like it much more in Soundproof's picture as a freestanding unit and the echoes of the 80's and 90's Beosystems is very pleasing. Simon

  • Re: Avant for bedroom
I would find the BeoVision 8 price to be quite reasonable for a much more technologically up to date tv for the extra cost.
I year what you are saying but the Beovision 8 will be around 5 times the price of an excellent late-model Avant which is now at a price where you won't be too bothered if it expires

  • Re: The 'Dark Side'.....

Due to a change in circumstances I am living in a rented apartment for half the week. I have an iPod touch docked in a Fatman iTube running into a pair of Beovox S45-2s for company and the results are superb! Simon

  • Re: BeoLab 8000 for BeoLab 8002 exchange used for new

Here in the UK you would expect to make at least double or possibly treble that amount by selling privately, so upgrading in the way you describe doesn't seem very cost-effective to me! Simon

  • Re: Beovox M150 and Beomaster 6500

John Aren't we just arguing the difference between sounding fine and optimal? Ben may well find that there are better amps out there for his speakers (I am not doubting your advice on this!) , but he didn't ask what the best amp for these speakers is, he wanted to know if the 6500/MS150 combination would work and I very much doubt that he will

  • Re: Beovox M150 and Beomaster 6500

I agree with most of the posts here. It is commonly forgotten that most listening in a domestic setting takes place at around 2-3 watts, so I cannot foresee any problems driving the M150's with a Beomaster 6500. Simon
