A Dutch Hi-fi site stated that B&O and Intel are teaming up. B&o seem to be working to television integrated with internet ? Has anyone more insight on this ?

Hi Chris, i would say if the choice is between beovision and BC1. Go for a Beocenter 1 its handy for small spaces due to the turning feature. And very handy because it has ( TV/Radio/cd/dvd/speakers) all in one ! One control and all in one place. As mentioned if you can get one which has been already refitted with an up to date dvd player you can have

Ok, asked a the dealer and he said the BC1 from 2001 isnt capable and there is no way to update it so it will be capable. Maybe a tip for people who want to buy a second hand BC1. Another tip is to ask if the DVD is already been replaced because it seems that even the 2004 series have a known failing problem with that specific feature.

Recently while dvd playing on my BC1 it starts up with a humming noise. to the point its no use listening to a cd. Sounds like its not centered or is it just breaking down ? If it is? how hard is it to replace it and are the serviceparts better then the original ones ?

Someone has a BC 1 from 2001 that doesnt size up the screen, when a dvd is played. Meaning when you play a dvd and then push the blue button on the beo4. A selection bar on the upper screen appears. when I turn it into 1.33 view mode it scales up but freezes the motion. When pressing "go "it scales down again. I have a BC 1 from 2004 myself

I actually ment the concept of BC1 so not the CRT part but the monitor / all in one capability. And for instance the non intrusive , tugged away, connections on the front. At the time i bought the BC1 I was looking for a flatscreen equivalent but couldnt find one. So I decided in favour of the BC 1. But always wandered why they didnt follow through
