    Re: Beocom 6000

    hi,

all of my beocom 6000's are just that, not beocom 1's...

they are all the early mk1's w/ the dot.

they all work great except the one in question. it will not find the base. i noticed that using .70001 -that the software listed is quite different than any of the functioning units. w/ regards to the decal beneath the battery...

    1.) good: b&o decal stating 1070156
    2.) bad: (2) small round decals -1 w/ "40" -2 w/ "46"

    reg'ing the software...

    1.) good: 001-1.60 0103071019-2G4
    2.) bad: 032-1.20 9901261126

    ++++edit++++

the supplied charger is usa -the phone charges fine, etc... -just can't find the base during registration.

    Re: Beocom 6000

Based on everything you have said, I think you may have a faulty RF chip in the handset, it is quite common. If this is the case, then the only way to fix the phone is to upgrade it to a Mark II because the RF chip and module it is on are no longer made.

yikes, what a "bummer" -i'll give my local dealer a shout! or look for the guts of a cosmetically tired one.

    thx again!

hmmm... but wonder why the software readout is so different on this one bad phone?

    (5) good 6000's all w/ similar software readings -and this (1) bad one w/ the odd readout?

    hmmm...

    Re: Beocom 6000

You can purchase a B&O upgrade kit p/n 3455103 which has all the parts required to upgrade a Mark I Beocom 6000 to a Mark II and still use the Mark I charger. The kits cost around $70

    Re: Beocom 6000

It was the apparent software version of the bad Beocom 6000 is why I said what I did.
