    Popcorn Hour A-100 Media Tank - When will is be included in the PUC-list?

    Does anyone (with BO relations) have a clue on this one? I recently bought a couple of these for my TV-setups and it is simply astonishing! This is the kind of media player BO should have in thier on product portfolio (and then charge 10 times the USD 200 price I paid). Would love to see it in PUC-list sometime really soon! Please BO - serve your customers (for once)..

    Your dealer who sold you your 100K system can create a PUC for you for very few $ more :0)

    I think there are quite a few of these devices, unless it has volume in sales as like an Apple TV has I doubt they will add it on their own. And even if they do, you would still have to get your software updatded. It really is not that difficult to create a PUC it seems so I would I ask.

    Cheers

    Re: Popcorn Hour A-100 Media Tank - When will is be included in the PUC-list?

    I've offered to send a sample box to them (which they can send to BO). They said it was just a matter of waiting (and hope that more people request this upgrade)... I have three BV7-40 (and thress A-100 boxes) so I would gladly pay some money to get it done..

    I believe they have shipped some 1.000.000 units by now (6 months after release) so you couldn't really call it a "nisch" product anymore. I fully understand thier success in sales though, wonderfull box!

    What good would this do? I don't have Beo5:s but as I understand it they only communicated with the BO-equipment and does not act as a "programmable remote"!? Is this wrong? I was told (by my dealer) that before BO makes a PUC-table for the unit I cannot control it no matter what remote I get...

    With the Beo5 you can control any third party product without using the PUC. Some products it is still better to control via the PUC, but that does not mean they have to be.

    In fact in future ALL templates produce by B&O for the PUC will also be available for the Beo5. The data contained in the PUC table is in fact the very same basic data used in the BEO5 product files

    Hi,
    do anyone know if there is (in the meantime) the possibilty to use BEO4 as remote control for Popcorn A-100 / A-110?

    As the Popcorn A-100/A-110 is not in the PUC you can either:-

    • Control it using as Beo5 or;
    • Use a Lintronic converter box to map Beo4 codes to Popcorn IR codes
