MCL 2 AV - Non B&O datalink connection

Is there any way to run a 5 pin din connection into a 7 pin MCL 2AV input and "trick" the MCL2Av and MCL2P into accepting it?

    Confused

I am looking to run an older Beogram with 5 pin din or use the phono output from a DVD player in another location as the input for rear speakers, but there is no 6 or 7th pin to pass the datalink information along.

I can use the transceiver to activate the MCL2P - but cannot make it select the input I want!

Any help, archives, FAQ, brochures or other information source appreciated!

Yes!! To select the sources with a Beolink 1000, you need the following commands:

For the CD socket - SHIFT,RADIO,6

For the Tape input - SHIFT,RADIO,7.

A Beogram will need a RIAA amplifier to work, mind you.

Most useful - but where do you find that sort of information?

Good point about the Beogram - back to plan B for that one!

The voices keep telling me things!Laughing

Actually I have collected a fair amount of silly facts over the years and have a number of useful manuals that I can look in! I am better at the slightly older equipment like MCL as I have a hybrid MCL system!
