About Beoworld

Tell me about Beoworld and why I should become a member ?

My BeoWorld is about you - the user, and what you want to get from BeoWorld. From the free Bronze membership enabling you to access the wealth of information about Bang & Olufsen and the companys products on the site, right through to Gold Membership - which allows full access privileges including automatic entry into the monthly Prize Draw offering the chance to win current and classic Bang & Olufsen products! Membership consists of three levels - Gold, Silver and Bronze. Here are outlines of each level.

What are the different membership levels ?

The lowest level is BRONZE and its FREE, and offers access to the BeoWorld website and all of its reference material (except user and service manuals). This level also allows access to the BeoWorld discussion forums where you can post all manner of questions and enquiries about Bang & Olufsen and its products.

Next, there is SILVER membership offers all of the bronze level plus access to the huge archive of User and Service manuals for both modern and vintage Bang & Olufsen products. This level also allows you to post on the "For Sale" and "Wanted" sections - which are a great source of bargains and an excellent place to sell your Bang & Olufsen!

Finally, there is GOLD membership, the highest level which allows access to all sections on the BeoWorld website PLUS qualifies you for automatic entry every month of your membership into the BeoWorld Monthly Prize Draw where you can win literally thousands of pounds worth of current and vintage Bang & Olufsen products.

There was also FOUNDER MEMBER for the first 500 members who signed up after Beoworld launched. In order to commemorate the launch of the new BeoWorld website, it was decided to honour the first 500 Gold Members with the status of "Founder Member". Founder status was available strictly on a first-come first-served basis, and if you are amongst the first 500 your profile will show the special "F" logo to let the world know you were there at the beginning! Once the first 500 members had joined, they were never available again - and if any Founder memberships lapse it will not be re-issued.

What Languages are supported by the Beoworld Forum ?

Currently only US English, Spanish (Spain) and British English which is also the default. Other languages can be added provided I can get someone who is prepared to do some translation.
If you want the forum in your language, then please send an e-mail to Keith.

What has happen to the PM's ?

Private Messages as we previously knew them are now "Conversations" and allow you and your defined friends to effectively have a private discussion.
You can send a message to any Beoworld Member as before but if you want a conversation between more than two people then those people must be in your friends list. The reason is because as Beoworld has a very large number of members it would take a long time to search the members list each time, so it is restricted your friends.
