    Re: Home Furniture

Here some pictures of my living room / kitchen / desk area & bed side table. You'll guess I like red & grey very much!Stick out tongue

We mainly have Roche Bobois furniture. We spent a lot of time looking for carpets and we find fantastic ones at Toulemonde Bochart stores in Paris. Kitchen is from a small italian company with Gaggenau equipment. And desk is made by 'Marais International', I do not know if they still exist.

I just got a new chair for my office at home - and i'm loving it !!  Sooooooo comfortable, sublime quality and looks superb.  The leather is glove soft too and i've just cleaned and fed it with Zymol automotive leather treatment, which has made it even softer!  (the chair is used by the way - bought from a specialist 'high-end' office furniture dealer).  I got it at a bargain price too, which makes it even better!

Link here - with an image underneath.  Mine is in a deep shade of Cherry Red, which compliments my dark wood floor and furniture.  I'm like a kid with a new toy! Laughing

Here we go - the Paolo Fancelli Giroflex 21 Chair.....

I can't see it Stick out tongue lol.  But seriously, what a great set-up and installation of B&O equipment.  I was wondering what the BV10 and BL9s would look like together.

I like your office area too, very clean [:-)]

    Greetings from Oz,

    Michael.

I've done some remodeling of my home office and it turned out great. Had the old curtains removed and replaced with some modern vertical blinds, that look great onto large windows. I also shopped for a new chair and a new carpet, all to go with the navy colour of the vertical blinds – the end result: simply amazing.

    Re: Home Furniture

Something makes me think that I will soon have some Eames armchairs at home... They seems to be original (aspect, dimensions, fiberglass shell), I'm totally sure that they are born before 1970 (1960???)... But I can't find any Herman Miller or Vitra logo on them. There is only a small "I" inside a circle embossed. Could it be some Zenith-produced fiberglass shells? If someone can help...

And yes... They are in the garbage!!! That's what I call a sacrilege!!!! Huh?

If they are being binned and you don't know what to do with them, I'll happily buy 6 off you :)

    Hey guys,

Must say that a place can be very inspiring... And inspired is just what I am with my new flat!

Furnishing is not finished yet but Eames is my all times favorite. Waiting for some chairs and that'll be it! :-)

Forum folk, I continue to enjoy the home furniture thread and I'm looking for some advice.

I've just bought a couple of white Eames DSW dining chairs. The problem is, I don't have a dining table at the moment.

The space I've got available is very tight so I'm looking for something not much over 2ft wide. I really just need something that two of us could get our plates and cutlery on and not much else.

Can anyone recommend a compact table that they have or have seen?

It's a bit late... but oh well lol

You're lucky with those chairs because they look good with most tables.  I think they look good with a wood table as opposed to glass (but that's personal).  What country are you in?

Thanks very much Christo, there is indeed a carpet, but something tells me you must have been around to say so ;-)

Anyway it's been a great pleasure, as always, to see you and this time for a change at my place! Next one in Bordeaux? ;-)

As for our week-end in Paris, I think we are on a good path for our future sofa...

Kisses to you and your half!

Bought a Juno baby bed (original from '40's / 50's) for my daughter ...

    Same like this:

It is in Denmark a famous bed (known from 'Far til fire / father of four' movies) and is getting more and more popular lately.

Sebra is making a replica, their bed is called Kili.

I will post a picture when we have ours completely set-up

    Re: Home Furniture

I have a large collection of design, some quick pics below, some are out of date such as the dining room which has since been replaced by a Kjaerholm table so I'll take some better images when the light is good. I mainly collect George Nelson, rarer Eames, Florence Knoll, some Wegner/Jacobsen and Kjaerholm. I also have a strong interest in modern British art (abstracts from the 50-70s) but that is for another day!
