    Re: Your latest purchase?

Bought a complete Beosystem 6500 last saturday with MCP6500 and the Beosystem 7000 Stand (Type No. 2060) at a very resonable price. Big Smile

    - Beomaster 6500: Works 100%

    - Beogram CD6500: Works 100%

    - Beogram 6500: Has a faulty MMC2. This won't be a problem as I have another one lying.

    - Beocord 6500: Dead. I have another one, so I can always use that for spares in case.

    - MCP6500: Needs some cleaning inside as it is almost impossible to press the buttons down... Laughing

The condition on the Beosystem is almost mint, just some very small marks here and there. The MCP6500 has a scrath and a few small marks. The stand is in good condition too, exept that there has been cut a little bit in the backplate, but that isn't visible. I am very satisfied with the buy, and it's definitely a keeper.

The Beosystem 6500 has replaced the Beosystem 7000 (Beomaster and Beogram CD), that was standing in my moms living room before. I might take the Beosystem 6500 myself, as it simply looks too s*xy on the stand. Stick out tongue So I might have to find her a replacement system... Hmm HmmStick out tongue The Beovirus is really never going to stop, huh?

The 7000 system has some heavy scratches on top (earlier owner Super Angry), which is why it isn't a keeper for me, so it is going to be sold. I actually got the Beosystem 7000 for free. It came with a Beolink 7000 with charger in good condition exept that a little chip from the glass was missing. The Beolink 7000 got a new battery and was then sold for the same amount of money I gave for the lot! Big Smile You could say, that I have got the Beosystem 6500 for free too, as the Beosystem 7000 will give me back the money I gave for the 6500. Wink

    - Dennis

I was borned with a Beolink 1000 in my hand!

Ever seen a Beomaster 6001? I have one! Look here.

Main system: Beovision AV9000, Beocenter 2300, Beosystem 3500, Beolab Penta MKIII, Beolab 3000, Beogram 6500, Beolink 1000, Beolink 5000, Beolink 7000

    Wish list: Beolab 2,

    Re: Your latest purchase?

    I've just put a deposit down on a BV10-46, a BV10-46 red/orange/black fret options and accompanying BS8 orange frets.

Delivery and installation on 30 December. No idea why, but I really love getting new B&O kit at this time of the year. It's the third time I've bought B&O kit for installation between Christmas and New Year!

    Re: Your latest purchase?

Just got a hold of a near mint! condition Beolink 5000 MKI today, for aprox 100 euro's :)

The screen works 100%, but the display had been loose one point in time, and had been glued back on, the job was not very good, so i dissasembled the whole thing, took out the display (very gently so not to tear the connection), cleaned everything with water and soap, not the boards but all ruber button things/plastic and frame, it was all very greasy, but now everything is like new. I removed all the old tape from frame and display, and reatached the display using 2way bonding tape, like used when attaching carpets. Cut out fine pieces with a sharp knife.

I had a BL5000 from new in 1993 together with a BM7000/CD7000, and i feel like i in a timemachine now, its just like riding a bicycle, everthing is in the hands still, it is so easy to use, and i love my 2-way control with my recently bought BM7000/CD7000 again :)

True. Plus it's quite some hassle swapping TVs, the cables, masterlink etc. Takes time to get right - easier done when you and the dealer install team can spend a couple of hours or so getting it right.

Indeed, and this is a little bit thanks to BeoWorld:  Edouard moved to Toulouse 3 years ago, and it was not until 2 weeks ago that we met as BeoWorld fellows.. And what better place than the B&O store for that purpose?!

But I must say that Edouard has been the best ambassador of the BL9 he owned at that time (just before switching to BL5) and this leading to that eventually came out as a pair of BL9 being lent by Tristan, the sales associate of Toulouse B&O store, for a real environment home test.

Test passed, and BL9 ordered! You know the rest... ;-)

    Re: Your latest purchase?

    Happy new year! Smile

Hmmm... I must admit that I have already bought a "new" Bang & Olufsen product for my collection in 2012. Stick out tongue Found a AV7000 US-Version here in Denmark, and that was an opportunity I couldn't miss - The only one I've ever seen for sale in Denmark, is the one I have now! It has stood unused in a garage or so for many years as far as I can see (Probably because of the 120V?) as it has some rust on the underside and smells a bit odd... maybe like an old cellar... But it is 100% functional (I use it with my B&O Power Supply RT12 until I get it converted to 230V) and in very good condition too; I can only find very, very few marks on it.

    I hope 2012 will be a good Beo-Year! Smile

Great purchase Terry. BV7-55 is good, just a tad too expensive for me. I could accomodate a larger BV10 though. 50" anyone?

My latest purchase, after the recent BV10-46 is a.....BC6-23! Bought a pre-loved one for the kitchen, before I can't get hold of them anymore.

Seem to have got the beovirus over Christmas and brought an AV9000 (including a pair of beolab 8000’s and 6000’s). A beosound 3000 and a beo5 (and struggling to get my head round the programming of it, does not help when most of my stuff is in a storage unit waiting for me to buy a new house)

Haven't been here in quite a while, but some months ago, after my HTPC stopped working, I bought a DVD1.

Last saturday I actually bought a new product for myself, a white Beocom 4, which I have been lusting after for some time now.

    It's absolutely brilliant! Big Smile
