Re: Your latest purchase?
Loudspeaker:
I would not have thought, that you buy that much! But it's exiting to read about your latest purchases!
The AV 9000 is actually my second. I simply love the AV 9000's, so I had to have this one too! I was actually surpriced when I found out, that it has red labels! I love these red labelled prototypes, as the often are a bit different from the final products, and that makes them special. The "new" AV 9000 is from 1992!
As a passioned Bang & Olufsen collector I love to have something everyone hasn't. I do also have a red labelled Beomaster 6000, which is called 6001, and I also have the red labelled remote for it! I also have a red labelled Beolink 7000.
I check a few different Danish websited everyday, to see if there are any good deals, and I'm going to hunt more Bang & Olufsen IRL later today. I will update if I find something!

BeoLab 5's! Way too big for my space (they're in my bedroom) but I've been kicking myself for not taking the plunge sooner.

My latest purchase?
Spare parts, namely replacement batteries for my BeoCom 4 and Serenata, at the moment I can't find anything interesting to buy from B&O, it's either too expensive, or not working the way I'd like it to, or missing some features. BeoLab 9's or a BeoLab 11 would be the exception.
Reunion Island is greeting you!

Re: Your latest purchase?
I know my B&O buys usually go in a different direction than most other Beoworld'ers but I was extremely lucky to add this rare bird to my collection a couple of days ago. Needs a cleaning but is otherwise mint and even still has the protective cover on the front panel, actually that's the dirtiest part. Beocord Stereomaster 2 - 610 portable :

That'll be just the thing for a picnic on the beach The colours make it look a bit Braun'esque from the Dieter Rams era.
But, does it have Airplay?
I've put myself on a spending prohibition. The last purchase remains a pair of Beolab 8000s I just couldn't let be for the offered price.

I've already been told that we need to use Air***y from now on, so not to upset some Beoworld members. Tournedos, you're clearly close to getting yourself banned!

Re: Your latest purchase?
I spent my money during the last weeks for a pair Beolab 8000, Redline 45, a Beolink 7000 incl. stand, an Ouverture, a Beogram 2000, Beogram 4500 and a Beocenter 9000 - now I filled the last space with Beo ;-)
Now my desires going on to focus on some smaller things like BeoLab 3500, an additional Beolink 1000, Beo5/6, IR-eye for my Beolink PC2,....
Have a great weekend

My latest purchase for B&O? An iPad2! We are intergrating it with the multilink via the BS9000 and it is amazing. We had previously completed the iPad2 to the Avant via the AppleTV2 so all is going very well.
Hi Karla,
Could you please explain how did you integrated the iPad2 with the multilink via the BS9000.
Thank you

Re: Your latest purchase?
Found a fine little Beomaster 3000 with original remote for 12£ last week. It is now being used at my girlfriend's with a pair of Beovox S-35's and a Beogram 8000. A fine little system ^^
Maybe, I would buy a Beosound 8, but then I have to sell one of my BeoLab 8000 systems or at least a Beogram 8002 and a 4002...
So... New B&O or traditional classic B&O?
I have just about 800 LP's which is the same amount of music in the itunes libary + a steady rising number of cassettes.
Maybe looking for one of the later uprightstanding Reel-to-reels, the BC1600 is definately cool!
Beocenter 9300, Beogam CD50, Beocord 5500, Beomaster 3400, Beomaster 4400, 2 Beogram 4000, Beomaster 8000, 2 beogram 8002, Beovox S-75, Beovox MS150.2, Beovox RL6000, Beovox S-35, Beomaster 6000, 2 Beocord 9000, Beocord 8004, Beocord 5000, Form 1, 2x Beolink 1000, Beo4, MX3500, LS4500. Born 1993.

Hi Karla,
Could you please explain how did you integrated the iPad2 with the multilink via the BS9000.
Thank you
The idea for this configuration actually came from BeoWorld member rxcohen from a thread that I started called Pc2 and iPad2, and it is a really elegant solution.
1) You are going to connect the BS9000 auxiliary input (DIN Socket) to an Apple Airport Express (3.5mm socket). This will require that you have a cable/adaptor configuration to connect with a DIN plug on one end and a 3.5mm male end on the other. The BS9000 DIN is 7 pin, but I have been told that we need only to use a 5 pin socket.
2) Plug in and configure your Airport Express and then synch the iPad2 to the Airport Express.
3) Connect the BS9000 to the Airport Express using the 3.5mm socket on the Airport Express.
4) Turn on the BS9000 to A. Auxiliary.
5) Turn on the iPad2 and connect to the Airport Express
6) Sit back and enjoy your play list!
You should be able to operate the playlist anywhere within range of the Airport Express.
It is also possible to connect the 3.5mm jack from the DIN cable set up, directly to the iPad2 headphone output, but that is not nearly as cool.

Re: Your latest purchase?
Just this week I picked up an very nice Avant 32 VCR, silver for £130UK - this including a mint Beo4 (dvd version), a silver DVD1 and shelf, and some STB brackets to hang a sky box on behind the TV.
It is heading for a second room (kids use mainly) to replace a 28Avant DVD that has an impending tube failure, I think. Faint lines visible behind the picture on darker images, runing horizontally across the screen in a sort of stretched S shape....(may be called scan lines, seems to ring a bell, and I think that is the precurser to a failed tube ) so grabbed this avant off fleabay - only 5 miles away so easy to collect.
Any tips about mending the 28DVD apreciated though....is it an adjustment or is the tube about to die ??

Re: Your latest purchase?
And finally it is here :)
I get my Beosystem 7000 in white color. There are only the Beomaster and the Beogram CD as I do not have anymore tape and never had phonogram... :)
I just spent my evening removing parts and cleaning. It was long but finally I just use soft sheet of microfiber cleaner and soap + hot water. the results are great (even in the ventilation grilles... too much time consuming). So here are some pictures. I also had the pictures of my Beolink 1000 in white, to match the color of the Beosystem... This one gives me hard time to collect (and 130£), but it was worth it as it is in almost perfect condition. I did not include the Beolink 5000 & 7000, but I also owned them. I plan to use this setup with a pair of white Beovox CX50 that I clean and possess new white clothes (in the original packaging ;) ).
So here are the pictures!

Re: Your latest purchase?
Have just picked up a mint Beolab 2000, not relising it was masterlink! SO.
What the best way to connect this to our Beovision 7-40 mk3 in an adjacent room? Is their a radio/IR Masterlink or is it yet more cables?
Thanks, and even though it doesn't work and i have no clue to connect it, i'm sure i'll love it
A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

Re: Your latest purchase?
I just bought the new Earset 3i, very impressed with the quality of the materials and the sound. I made a comparision between the 3i and the Apple headphones, not the ones that come with the iPod/iPhone but the ones in-ear which are supposedly better with better bass etc. Well it was as if I were comparing a Ferrari with a Yugo, no kidding. The 3is are really, really good specially in the vocals and mids, bass is not that bad either, but the clarity and separation is amazing. I must say that I had never owned a pair of A8s so for me was a whole new experience.
Also, a couple of month earlier We bought a pair of Beocom 5 and we are also very happy with them. Design and performance wise it is an excellent phone. They even have a basic integration with the rest of the B&O video and sound equipment. Awesome.
