I use lossless on my portable stuff too. I do that because it's easier to use whatever I have, and since my Cowon D2 uses SDHC cards up to 32GB it's pretty easy to have a lot of stuff with me on a couple of cards -  Enough, anyway.

    A minor gripe:

B&O now needs to replace the Twonky multi-colored "T" logo with its own B&O logo when the BM5 server shows up on network devices.

    Carolpa:

Read the update in the FAQ (BS5 faq - site B&o) carefully. You have to go to the service menu's. This option is normally NOT shown

Read the FAQ, but my BM5 still gives the same service menu topics.

I think that the menu you've mentioned will only be visible at the BS5.

I've seen just quick second the service desktop from the BM5. And I saw new folder "MLGW" on the desktop. 100% sure it wasn't there before.

Haven't had the time to attach a mouse to investigate. (Voices of Holland at the moment Ick!)

I use sometimes lossless, however Itunes can convert on the fly into 128kbs which is a little weak. I am hoping they give a flexible option there in future.

I do not want to deal with Flac or multiple libraries so I will keep waiting until this is sorted. By this I mean, either gapless AAC compressed or gapless Apple Lossless.

It is explained for the BS5. I didn't look for the BM5

I looked at the menus on the BM5, and your right it can NOT be switched ON !?!

Maybe at the service menu? Will investicate this later

    Re: Updated 4 jan 2011

My BS5 is updated and I got my Beo6 today. The user guide says I can activate the "wireless" - wifi- function in the setup menu.

But I can`t find a "wireless" button (as described). My Beo6 was configured with CT 4.11.  Any ideas?

    Thanks

I hope you are talking about 2011...

A new SW version of BS5 or CT 4.11 ?

    Tak.

    Hi Stefan

According to my B&O dealer, yes 2011 - I think both BS5 and Beo6. I am running the same setup, and

can't wait to see navigation and coverflow on Beo6, this is what i have been missing all along.

    Best regards

With 3.87 one can not program the Beo6

Sorry. What I meant was: Will BS5 be updated from 6.02 to 6.0X , or must CT 4.11 be updated to 4.12?

I can`t find a "wifi" configuration in CT 4.11, so I assume there will be a new version for the config. tool....?

    Thanks

    Stefan

It is on the remote itself that you'll have to configure Wifi.

Presumably the CT has to be updated. As you wrote WiFi can't be programmed with this version.  My dealer told me this feature will come this spring.

Yes, I know. But there simply is no button in the SETUP menu to configure wifi. So there must be a wifi configuration in the (new) CT 4.1X...

It`s also said somewhere in the Beo6 user guide. The Help menu of CT 4.11 is just talking about Beo5, they never mention Beo6.

But configuring Beo5 and Beo6 with CT 4.11 works without problems - excluding wifi...
