Sh!t, wish you didn't mentioned that Olly! No, impossible to do (I think)
Just a smooth (well, not exactly) rounded edge..
Working on my 2nd batch of 10x BM4500 glasspanels (lots of demand) and then finishing the glass windows for Ouverture/2500/2300 units.

Re: What Are You Working On Now ?
Leslie:
My 3rd pair Penta's refurbished with new cloths and a selfmade perspex cover and stainless steel mirror panels (yes, again) for the amps.
For this I had to make something. Why not using a halogen lamp from a copy machine to do the bending of the perspex.
Leslie!!! Wow!! Very cool.
Best displays EVAR.

Re: What Are You Working On Now ?
Thanks Evan & Rich! It really looks great but the "chamfered" thing Olly was talking about keeps my brains busy. I'll think I'm gonna give it a try...,

Re: What Are You Working On Now ?
I wonder if you could take a sheet of clear plastic, add some heat, care and patience, and bend up a few inches all the way round the perimeter of the sheet and end up with a turntable dust cover.

Re: What Are You Working On Now ?
To bend the Perplex is no problem, but you will never get the edges and corners right, at the corners you will have to glue, and you will allways be able to see the union, upper edges will be round and not square as org.

Re: What Are You Working On Now ?
Step1:
Could be an OEM part nearly ;)
Yes "nearly", by bending you can never get the 90 degree corner, it will allways be 2 x 45 degrees, after grinding, or as in the first pic, a 1/4 circle

errr lesley ...
Leslie:
... I think I prefered "give peace a chance"
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Re: What Are You Working On Now ?
Great craftsmanship Leslie. You are a true artist at this stuff. I am still in awe of how you came up with using the copier machine to bend the persplex pieces.
