    Just a smooth (well, not exactly) rounded edge..

    Working on my 2nd batch of 10x BM4500 glasspanels (lots of demand) and then finishing the glass windows for Ouverture/2500/2300 units.

    My 3rd pair Penta's refurbished with new cloths and a selfmade perspex cover and stainless steel mirror panels (yes, again) for the amps.

    For this I had to make something.Hmm Why not using a halogen lamp from a copy machine to do the bending of the perspex.Big Smile

    I wonder if you could take a sheet of clear plastic, add some heat, care and patience, and bend up a few inches all the way round the perimeter of the sheet and end up with a turntable dust cover.

    To bend the Perplex is no problem, but you will never get the edges and corners right, at the corners you will have to glue, and you will allways be able to see the union, upper edges will be round and not square as org.

    Yes "nearly", by bending you can never get the 90 degree corner, it will allways be 2 x 45 degrees, after grinding, or as in the first pic, a 1/4 circle

    Not working on it yet, but will within a month or 2, just bought this to complete my BG 5000, now onto get a reciever.

    My covers have lots of scratches. do you have any tips to remove scratches from aluminum, or do I need to replace the aluminum?

    First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Great craftsmanship Leslie. You are  a true artist at this stuff. I am still in awe of how you came up with using the copier machine to bend the persplex pieces.
