Based on all this speculation I have a feeling you will all be pleasantly surprised with what B&O has in store : )

I really like the article : "has announced that its new hardware/software
solution announced today for low cost Internet radio receivers including
AM/FM tabletop radios, networked iPod/MP3 docks and clock radios will
allow consumer electronics (CE) manufacturers to provide products at
affordable mass market price points of under US$149.99"
And then Bang & Olufsen is cited as a customer of this tech...
B&O engineer : "hey boss, I have found the way to create a full BS5 that can work as a standalone and bring some new functionnalities such as SD card reader, Last.FM compatibility and NAS compatibility!!"
Boss : "how much will that cost?"
B&O engineer : "for 200€ you get everything, including a top notch D/A converter"
Boss : "Ok, build that big MP3 player. I will call the marketing department to call it BS5 Encore and sell it for 3000€!"

OK i am Hearing:
Beo6 same as beo5 but widescreen for flicking through the album art 2way but only for use with Bs5
bs5 encore will work with NAS or PC to search for music, 2xusb 1 internal 1 external. Powerlink sockets A,Aux socket can operate as a slave to BS5 or as individual units around the home, connection to the network.
Bs8 not sure if its masterlinik capable or not released b4 xmas and about £850
BV4 86"
Nothing about a bigger BV7
All TV's to be built on a new modular design rather than BS3 based making all TV's the same and making some of the other models more appealing.

Do we have a picture of the Beolab 6002 and 8002 - I was not aware if these two new products. Any more specific details on new design and enhancements on this?
Thanks
Look exactly the same as Beolab 6000 and 8000, but 6002 and 8002 have ICEpower amplification.

Hi Everyone is it me or do we all find new products really exciting. The BS encore sounds really interesting if it can read your network and perform Mots on the music.
Shame no one snuck in a camera

Sound quality is said to be unchanged! There are other changes but all done for standardisation reasons. No RCA plugs now.

In the future, from B&O products. ?
Silicon portal gives consumers the ability to listen to both streaming music services as well as their own digital music library.
http://www.newswiretoday.com/news/44756/
If you look at the site of Frontier Silicon, you see a lot of interesting stuff B&O can (or probably already uses) utilize together with the BS/BM5 and other systems. FS delivers all the building blocks but also complete components to build for example iPod docks. (link). Of interest is also an Apple app which can be rebranded (link).
On their Internet Portal they refer to support of over 8200 podcast channels as well. Makes you wonder whether B&O will make those available as well on the BS5/BM5 (link). It will probably need a revamped interface to handle this along radio and cd's.

What about B&O aproach to the 3D Market? Their LED Panel supplier is one of the leading in 3D technology so it would be logic to have B&O following. Also one of the compatitors in terms of design LOEWA already offers 3D technology.
BV 4-85 will have a 3D screen, probably because Samsung cant deliver a non 3D in that size. Because of this, it will be interesting to see if this will still be powered by the old BS3. Does 3D not require HDMI 1.3?

Panasonic do make 3D plasma screens although the biggest 3D panel on their website (UK) is currently 65" (there is however a non-3D 85" commercial panel)
Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

They used to in the old bv 4´s. However as their supplier of LED and LCD is now Samsung, i guess they will also deliver this one. However, I am not sure.

I thought it required HDMI 1.4, or did I mis-read that somewhere? I'm sure I read that was required for Blu-ray 3D movies.
Even though it's a "3D" panel, does that really mean they have to support 3D - my guess is, no.

Almost certainly no. With the active shutter technology Samsung adopted for 3D, there's no such thing as a "3D" panel. The TV electronics sync with the glasses to blank out left/right at the required intervals. The only thing the 'normal' panel has to be capable of is a refresh rate high enough to keep up. The rest is all in the electronics.

Hi.
Slightly more than a BeoSound 5 (it has much more inside it so this is to be expected).
Yes.
November.
