Søren Hammer:
I like, Søren
That double album would be the test record for Beolab 8000? loaded with different songs, the inner sleve and fold-out pages containing pictures of the 1981 product catalogue or is it the one from the late 70's with test tones?
No its a single CD and has a alu cover with a booklet inside, made 2005, for AV Mediacenter, just ordered the 6 CD set that was on the prizedraw last time.
Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

Another view... I designed the furniture to be able to hide each cable...
Hi Oliw,
This furniture you designed is very nice!
Your set-up is perfect without any visible cable, your BL11 seems to be everything but a sub, great!
About the technical service at the Toulouse shop, I didn't test it yet but they seem to know what they're talking about, and the staff is very kind and helpful.
Hope to see you soon at the store or meeting at a cafe.
Cheers and Place des Carmes

Ok, I think I will do what you advise me, thanks!
I cannot put the A/V system against the same wall cause it will be busy.
Look what it looks like with just a pair of BL9 (my dealer lent me yesterday) close to the BV10...with BS9000 on its floorstand, it's gonna be ugly.
Now change the orange on the BV10 to same wine red as BL9s, buy the BL9s, put the BS 9000 on the wall over the BV 10, and use the 8000s for surround sound, the small cables to the 8000 should be easy to hide, and a white small cable channel from BS 9000 down to BV 10 will hardly be visible

Hi Soren,
I finally decided to buy some cable channels (to link the BS9000 with the BV10) i began to install yesterday.
These cable channels are stuck on the skirting boards, and run from the BS9000 to the BV10 circling the chimney.
I will replace the BL8000 with black BL9 and keep the orange fret on the BV10.
I moved the plant close to the lonely BS9000 to make this wall less empty and everything seems to look fine.
Here are some quick shots with red BL9 just to show how it looks like:

I think the BS9000 would ruin the visual harmony of the current bl9/bv10 setup. I think it's a better idea to have the bs9000 on another wall, butthen you'll have the cabling problem again.

I can't see any pictures, but judging from your description I really think that you found the best solution! :-)
I think that the B&O designs work best when you give each design the space and air that they need, that's why I think it is a good idea to keep the BS9000 on the other wall - otherwise the tv wall would get too crowded (especially if you'd put the BS above the BV) and one wouldn't be able to enjoy the beauty of the BV and the BLs. I get al little bit sad when I see how some owners put too much B&O into a too little space, but I guess it's just a matter of different opinion and taste. :-)

Hi Henrik,
My pics are still pending and waiting for a mod agreement, I don't know why as I didn't post some pics of my naked wife
But hope they'll be visible soon so that you can see how the set-up looks.
I agree with your comments, I prefer my B&O stuffs to have space to breath.
To be continued...

What a shot! What amp is hiding between those Labs??
EDIT: My gut says Levinson..
Yes your correct, it's a ML 334 from my old system that used to be a Levinson/Wilson audio setup.
Right now it's in the bedroom serving up as my bedroom stereo

The looks are good!
But i don't think it sounds very good.
Hi,
Why do you think the sound isn't good?
I tried the BL9 this way and it seems to be good, I mean better than my BL8000.
Let me know please.

koning:
Because the hard surface.
I think a carpet on the floor in front of the loudspeakers makes the sound much better.
Thanks for your advice Koning.
Do you think it's why I sounds like echoing?
I thought it was due to the fact that I don't have a lot of furnitures in the living-room.
As I placed the BL9 about 5-10cm away from the wall, do you think I should increase the distance from the wall to avoid such an echo effect?
What is the best way to put the BL9, more than 20cm away from the wall in free position instead of where they are (wall position)?
Let me know please.
Best,

A combination of both, I'd say. Furniture acts both as diffusors and absorbents, and textiles (carpets and curtains can make a huge difference!) too. The tricky thing is to find the right compromise between looks and sound. :-)

The distance from the wall has no effect on the echoing.
more funiture and carpets and curtains make the sound better.
I would also put them futher from the wall 50-60 cm

Ok thanks Henrik,
stop-echoing effect check list:
Carpet: OK (ordered)
Furnitures:
Curtains: OK (ordered)

Hi Koning,
Thanks for your reply.
My black BL9 will be delivered and installed by my dealer on friday (I'm so impatient).
If put them further than 30cm from the wall, I will have to switch to "Free" position and then release the kraken, right?
Cheers,

You have to upload your pictures to a free picture hosting website and then use the "insert/edit-button" to add the link to the pictures here.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: ok, I see you have found a way, but please, make the picture smaller next time
