Not surprised! The Beomaster 7000 does not have a sensor socket - it was deleted from the Beomaster 5500. You will need to hard wire it in - I am afraid I cannot find the instructions for this.

Although this an old thread, let me respond. I just bought a Beomaster 7000, and I was puzzled with a DIN socket coming out from inside the unit. It is connected to the "P89" connector section on PC board 4 inside the unit. It appears to be a factory option that has a B&O connector on the end that plugs into the PC board. There must have been an IR sensor kit with a DIN plug that would go into the socket.

When facing the front of the 7000, the connector is a 4 pin connector on the far left end of board 4 at the top. I was in error, the connector is P98, not P89. The DIN connector you have on your unit looks identical to mine. The Service manual for the Beomaster 6500 has diagrams in the back for the Beomaster 7000 that shows the circuit connection.

Nitro2 - on your other reply to me on the voltage conversion, I see you have the manual. The card layout is shown on page 11-5. Look on the far right top of the picture to see the pins for the connector socket. The connection of the pins to the circuit is shown on the bottom left page of 11-3 in the service manual.
