Re: The unique, one and only SOFTWARE UPDATE THREAD!

ML Delay is Grayed out on MK4 with software 9.01.

edit: If the ML is grayed out and you have DSM module 2.0 or higher AST needs to be in the menu but does not have to be switched on just present.

If AST does not appear then the DSM FEP and DSM DSP software are to old

This is seperate from the H8 Software we normally talk about.

My TV has 9.01 but the DSM module sw is 4.23a and 4.19 which is to old for AST to be shown.

Some posts here have discussed the update that replaces the clock with the words Bang and Olufsen at start up. Is that a feature absent from US TVs? We had a 7-40 mkIII and now have a 7-55 and have never had a clock at startup? If we updated the software on the 7-55 would we have the B and O logo? Thanks!

Re: The unique, one and only SOFTWARE UPDATE THREAD!

    Hi Razlaw,

The clock issue is only linked to the DVB-HD module... And the diffusion format in US is not DVB, I think... So the module is not the same, so your updates (and issues) must be different!

Re: The unique, one and only SOFTWARE UPDATE THREAD!

I had my BV8-40 updated from something less than build 68 to build 127 for 3 week ago. And OMG its almost like a complety new tv :-)

The picture is more clear and the colors is more crisp, even in the std. settings.

I had no issus with the tv before the update. But actually I have two things now, which I would categorize as minor issues/bugs.

Some times the internal fans is humming with sound high enough to be annoying.

I have CD player connected to the tv through SPDIF, when using the cdplayer. The tv now turns it self off every half hour or so. I have been fiddling around in the menus to se if this somehow is a standby setting or something. But no luck. Also a bit annoying :-)

This build 127 is pretty much what, the BV8 should have been released with in the first place. Im very pleased with it.

Hi Guys, I got the BV7 MkIV without Bluray player and have performed the usb software upgrade, quick question...Does the 1.4.7 software only upgrades the DTV or does the BV7 get a software upgrade too as mine is showing build 8 I think?

    Cheers TC

Then how did you get your dealer to organise the update? Here in the UK B&O will only software upgrade your TV if you experience a known issue. They won't just come around and install for free. It's possible to pay for a couple of hours of engineering time, but this isn't cheap.

I could do with a few products being updated. My old BC2, BV8 and BV7 (sw 7.05).

So I'm not the only one!? The fans in my BV8-40 starts humming after 20-30 minutes of use. Extremely irritating. This started when I updated the DVB-HD module back in May. My dealer has tried changing a couple of things in the television, but nothing has helped yet. The humming is really irritating, especially at night, when watching television at low volume.

    Hi Guys,

I have had a look through and cannot find any reference to the updates for a BV7-40 MK2, do anybody have a list of the fixes/additional options etc for this model.

A good idea would be to create a sticky thread for each model to show the latest software & fixes etc with another sticky for feedback for each model as one thread for all the models is not very clear with everybody replying to parts of their model/update.

    What do you think?

Re: The unique, one and only SOFTWARE UPDATE THREAD!

    Hej

    Mvh. Knud

    DVB HD (MKI/MKII) module (found on BV7, BV8 and BV10) : latest version :0.1.4.7 - 11/06/2010

This software update can be done by the user : download it here : http://www.bang-olufsen.com/dvb-hd/software-downloads

    0.1.4.5 - 12/05/2010

My BV4 doesn't have that option either. Even with 9.01.

My BS3 is MKI i don't know if that is why.

Re: The unique, one and only SOFTWARE UPDATE THREAD!

I think you need hardware uppgrade, check in customer menu if IOP SW is below 23.00 (early BS3MK1 and BV9) if so, that is the problem

and you have to change AVS/H8 module

Hi, I have a Beovision 7-55 and have upgraded my software to 9.01. I experience a problem whith the contrast. When I start up the TV the contrast will go upp at maximum and after 1 minute it will slowly go back to normal. I didn´t have this problem with software 8.12. Does anybody else experience the same problem?

My second question is if SW 9.01 is the latest software?

Re: The unique, one and only SOFTWARE UPDATE THREAD!

    Hello Peter and Svend fans,

I got build 153 today for my BV10-40 after an intervention of my technician.

First noticable change : the beo4 "with navigation wheel" works like a charm with my french cable tv set top box (Numéricable).

No more go + up or down, only up or down to change channel.

Didn't have the time for more investigation !

    Cheers,

    Gregory

SW 10.02, build 8.14 for BS3 televisions is now available.

Fix a lot of issues on BV 7 including MY problem with 24p material :-)

Furthermore fixes an issue with the tv dimming after a while.

Introduces the possibility to deactivate centerspeaker.

Delays the fans for 20 sec. to let the tv start up and cover the fannoise. before they start.

Other issues has been fixed aswell
