Not quite yet, Ed. Just suffering from writers block. You'll know when I get to the end.
I'll try and do a bit tonight.

Re: My trip to Struer. By Andy T. Photo's by Andy T.

Although the bus picked us up at 8.00, we still managed to be seated for a presentation at 8.15.
It was delivered by Geoffrey Martin and was entitled "Tonmeister at Bang and Olufsen--working scientifically with sound" Unfortunately, not being a very technically minded person, a lot of this information went straight over my head. I'm sure it was of great interest to some of our party as many technical questions were asked and answered constructively
Straight after this, a similar lecture was given by Robert Nurgberg called "The Design process"
Lee, Ed and I were late arriving for this and interupted his flow, we hastily went to the back and allowed him to continue.
To me these two lectures were too much like being back at school.
At 9.15 we had a coffee break in the lobby. To liven things up a little, I entertained my fellow Beoworlders on the piano.
This is me playing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1 in B flat minor.
I followed this with Scott Joplin's "Maple leaf Rag" and finnished off with Mozart's Concerto KV 242 for 3 pianos.
You should have seen my fingers running up and down the keyboard like little maggots.

    Poor me, never win owt!

After the recital, we went back into the same lecture room and the next presentation was of much moe interest to me.
It was delivered by Ronny Kaas Mortensen and was all about the New Struer Museum.
It is a futuristic new building attatched to an old one, the best photo's of this are in Ed's photo's.
All the stuff in the "Time Tunnel" will eventually be moved there.
Ed and I did go to look at it on the Sunday and peer through the windows but it was still empty.
After Ronny's talk we went back into the lobby where Lee presented Gitte with the signed bottle of champagne on behalf of us all.
    Thanks for that, Lee

Sadly, we were nearing the end of our pilgrimage.
We went back into the lecture room where Thea made herself known. What a brave young lady!  Standing up in front twenty-odd strangers and asking us what made us tic.
The work she was doing as an anthropologist for B&O involved asking us all the same things as she does in THIS thread. Please pay a visit and help her with her work.
Sorry it's a poor picture!. (Kikinoko)

At 12.30 we all sat down for a buffet in the canteen.
This was actually our "Last Supper". One or two of our party hadn't been able to stay for our meal at Venø Kro and some more members had to go shortly after. Now after this meal, we would all be going our seperate waysSad

Re: My trip to Struer. By Andy T. Photo's by Andy T.

Up in the carpark the bus was waiting to take all my new friends awaySad
There were hugs all round as we parted company. Ed had his Audi so he and Lee took me back to The Grand and we said our good-byes in the hotel carpark.
It was Tuesday afternoon and my flight wasn't until Wednesday afternoon so I had a lot of time to kill.
I went to my room and stood at the open mini-verandah door to have a cigarette and look down at the crossroads below. Law abiding people these Danish, you know.

    jandyt:
After we had finished eating and the Beo5 had been passed around numerous times, one of our members pointed out the aging B&O sound system (can't remember which model)  that was in use in the restaurant. We were pleased to note that the Beo5 controlled it as if they were contemporaries!

    It was a Beocenter 8500.
