Re: Off topic:>What to choose - New wooded floor, light or dark?

Depends on the number a size of cables used. A 2cm expansion gap should be fine if it is only for PowerLink cables.

Why not rebate the joists slightly so the cables sit lower than the floor?

I would paint the black metal bars in the ceiling white ...they're just not big enough to make a statement.
the columns I would do glossy white if you want the interior understated. If your furniture style is more contemporary and you want a little more 'up to date' look you can also paint them in a nice deep accent colour that makes more of a statement. Or you can clad them in a material of your choice.
The choice is only limited by your imagination.Smile

Its looking really good so far Smile

I also had this in mind, walnut on the columns

But for now I maybe will stick with the glossy black

Looks much too heavy to me. And in any case, you could do that later if you get bored with the "plain" columns.

Really nice.  As someone who's doing their own renovation I can really relate.  It's great to see someone come out of the other side with such great results.  It's funny how many B&O fans don't put too much effort into the look/aesthetics of their installation, which I think is one of the best parts of B&O.  Obviously you think along the same lines because the time and effort really shows.

Thanks guys, I'm very pleased myself, I have just started to add some decorating, trying to use one colour to add a contrast to the black/white/aluminium (can't deside if it should be red or green) - Though I still need a lot to do.

I will start all the cable today; I bought some 30mm black flexible hose/socks for all the speakers and 50mm behind the BV5 and BS9000.

Quick view of the BL8000 rear speaker connection

I'm thinking about changing the mains connection, for a cleaner look Confused

Nice workmanship here. You're giving me a lot of new ideas and insights on how to get rid of all of the wire mess ;)

BTW: The room is absolutely huge. Notice how the BS9000 is completely dwarfed in the first photo...
