Yes we all do...and nice to see it....

Nice photos guys, I always find it interesting to see how others have integrated their systems into their homes ... as soon as I get my BM6000 back (7 weeks...sigh...) I will endeavour to upload photos to also share with you my systems.

I think we should have more 'sharing / exchange' threads like this  or can be on other related pursuits .....

    tournedos:

Do you mean the dial lights (there are two of them)? They have their own fuse and it's often oxidized in its holder. It's located away from the power supply, on the underside of the main circuit board as I recall.

If you mean the stereo light, it sometimes needs "warming up" in one of my 900s (I have three Geeked ) as well. The stereo indicator has its own circuitry, so the set can play FM in stereo even though the light doesn't come on. There's an adjustment, but I haven't bothered to touch it yet.

Yep, the dial lights are the issue. Sounds like it needs a service from someone who's done these before! I'll try and get it all serviced after my exams which start next week! I have several other things need fixing too, including an iPod and a 4400 so I'll try and get it all done in one go.

Re: We all share the same passion!

Here are a few pics of a system we just finished in a small second home at a western US ski resort. B&O in a traditional setting...... "Mountain Cabin".

    BV8 + BL3s + Macbook + Apple TV + Tivo + broadband service (7 mbps)

The concept is to achieve high fidelity (both audio and video) digitally in a small space (total size of 1 br cabin is 800 sq ft (75 sq m)). All audio and video are sourced from the Macbook (connected to broadband service), the Apple TV (connected to broadband service), or the Tivo (connected to cable service). BL3s fill the space nicely, including the loft bedroom adjacent to the 2 story living space (10' X 16' X 18' high). We tried a BL2 in addition but it was too "boomy". The casework was built for the system. The BV8 can be closed off with bi-fold doors for audio only listening (use “Pmute” which turns off the display and switches the BV8 to speaker setting “2”, i.e. BL3s only). As is shown in the pics, the Macbook slides in/out on a drawer with folding front for a clean look. Apple TV and Tivo reside in lower cabinet under BV8, fully controlled by the Beo4 via C1/C2 IRs. Excuse the Christmas decos.... soon to be put away.

     Affineur,

    Very interesting bookshelf integration !

    I like it !

This is very good example of how good B&O goes with classic design !

burantek:  thanks, it took a bit of thought and quite a bit of back and forth with the cabinetmaker. As far as 24, it just happened to be on the Tivo menu as an advert, but I am told it is a good show!

martin: thanks, I put this up to show some possibilities outside of a contemporary approach, within a small space, and at a "relatively" modest price point (for B&O).

That I call good idea! When you archive to functionally organize small space with reasonable amount of money!

    Great!

IMHO you did a great job !

Mark - I really like this, and remember enjoying reading your thread when you were doing this room. Just goes to show that B&O can look good in a 'normal' sized living room and not just in some cavernous loft space. I love the BS9000 in that alcove - spot on!

I agree with John, Mark. 9000 looks great there.
Did you ever finish that thread?

I gather John, that you have quoted Hippocrates in your signature. Does this mean you have taken the Hippocratic oath, and you will soon start conversing in Latin with Peter?Wink

Still aint got the mirror over the fireplace yet, although i have seen a nice one in Heals in the sale, but still out of my price range (at the moment). The room will look and feel so much better when we get one.

I suspect not - 'tis the motto of my medical school, and roughly translates as 'art is long, life is short' which I kind of buy into as I'm fast approaching my 30th birthday!

Yep, probably the most kikinoko DVD player you could find. If i remember correctly, my mum gave it to me years ago (christmas gift i think) long before i had even heard of B&O.

To be fair ive never really been into watching films and DVD's, but since having the kids, it seems to be used very often with Disney films and that. Ive probably watched The Little Mermaid more in the last few months than Eastenders. I couldnt even tell you now who reads the Six O'clock news. (Is it still the welsh bloke?) Unsure

I was free to give you one maybe cheaper suggestion...  don't animadvert me Smile

Maybe you can buy only mirror and glue it to the wall without any frame ?
