    Thanks John,

Still aint got the mirror over the fireplace yet, although i have seen a nice one in Heals in the sale, but still out of my price range (at the moment). The room will look and feel so much better when we get one.

I was free to give you one maybe cheaper suggestion...  don't animadvert me Smile

Maybe you can buy only mirror and glue it to the wall without any frame ?

Can you do a round mirror? Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

Not seen a soldier yet on this thread, but let me introduce you to Peter, my B&O drummer. He's in charge of guarding my Beo4 and the Terminal 3000 in the background that I use with my Beomaster 8000 (because I haven't found a Beolab Terminal yet!)

*Applauds* WOW! I remember seeing this space in the developmental stages, bravo it's GREAT!

Just please don't ruin it with a round mirror, the big rectangle above the fireplace with open it up, the round shape beaks up the lines of the room and makes it look like grandma's house...

I agree with Dave I'm sorry to say....

Rectangle mirror above the fireplace looks much better and really completes the look. I think the porthole mirror kills it a little.

It's a good looking room, I'd be pretty happy if I were you!!

on another note, thanks for the comments. it is interesting to see everyone's adaptations of similar equipment all over the world. as was mentioned in another thread, traditional homes / decors are typical in NA -and this home is really not very different. the strange thing is that both my wife and i prefer industrial / modern!?!? funny how life goes...

Re: We all share the same passion!

    Affineur,

Love the set-up.  It's nice to see someone from the USA demonstrating their "B&O kit".  I literally have the exact same B&O gear.  Heck, even my cabinets resemble yours (though, mine are not as customized).  The only difference in our set-ups is that I'm using a Cable DVR box rather than a Tivo and I'm using a desktop Apple in another room to drive the Apple TV.

Out of curiosity, my BV8 / BL3 / Apple TV hub was somewhat of an experiment to see how well these technologies worked together and to also see how good the audio quality was.  I'm happy with the result, but I've convinced myself that better quality audio could be had with bigger Beolabs and that I also need a TV bigger than 32" for the room that I'm using.  The problem I've had is trying to incorporate these larger B&O products in to a more traditional style of cabinetry.  Have you done this with bigger gear at your non-vacation home, and, if so, do you have pictures of that A/V set-up or advice?

    TIA,

    Mark

Just been messing about with my girlfriend's camera when I should have been revising how the human body works instead. Oh well...

Thought I'd resurrect this thread - check out my Beosystem 6000! Took this with a Nikon D60 and 15 sec exposure time:

..here's another one of the Beogram 8002 in the dark (obviously):

All good fun. Let's have some more photos of people's set ups. I really enjoy seeing how people integrate the older stuff into their homes.

Re: We all share the same passion!

Very nice - a BeoSystem 6000 or 8000 is something I would love to own but simply don't have the space and/or money! I already have far too much hifi as it is and I'm going to be in student accommodation within the year.

Is that the stock D60 lens? Surprising presence of Bokeh which I wouldn't expect from a 'basic' lens if that's what it is - my D50 lens (which is the basic stock model) doesn't produce anything near as much Bokeh as that!
