Working on a Wombles backside is not something to relish, but i did it anyway..

I decided to let Ford advertise as they provided the car, but the towbar required artistry way beyond my limits to get round it. Still, it has no parking sensors - and a towbar is a good second best...

The window 'pillars' i keep putting off as they are fiddly beyond belief.

Raising money for charity and protecting wildlife - surely worthy of an 'OBE' * ?

Now - i normally have lovely clean hands as the most i do these days is tap a computer keyboard and pick up a BeoCom 6000.

However - a decrepit old Mondeo, 6 cans of spray glue, 4 sheets of sandpaper and about 12 metres of fur can make your hands a bit 'werewolf' and also a bit dirty!

Here are my furry hands.. they shall not look like that again for a long time, so Matt - make the most of it

Allegedy it is, but we are taking lot's of the fur off-cuts and some super-glue..

If nothing else, I suppose the papier mache will strengthen the crumple zone

So - the look is almost complete!

Just the eyes, the BeoWorld logo for the top of the windscreen, and a few more finishing touches - and we're ready to go at 11am tomorrow morning !!!  

Thank you to the kind and generous people that have sponsored us so far, it really makes it all worthwhile. We hope to raise over £1000 online, so every penny counts - and of course we shall be logging in and keeping everyone informed 'en route' so keep the sponsorship coming in whilst we are limping along in our old banger!

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes!  I'm all packed now and ready to finish the car off early tomorrow morning and hit the road.
