Thanks Friedmett! Currently listening to the Beogram hooked up to my Beomaster 6000. I really should take it downstairs and try with the Beomaster 8000 :) Definitely my favourite Beogram.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
I've tried mine also with BM6000 before my BM8000 was finished. There really is not much of difference all though more power in the output. The BM6000 is currently been used in my white edition 6000 system with a Beogram 6006 + a Beocord 6000. A pair of Beovox S80 and S120 works as a brilliant combination. In fact giving me a hard time saying which is the best of the bunch. The 6006 sounds just a great with a MMC20CL as the 8002 with a Soundsmith MMC2 go figure. I have even tried the 6006 on the Beomaster 8000 to see how it sounded as the Beovox S speakers were being rebuild. As the 6000 and 8000 is in the same room I can have both systems on at the same time. Strange kind of stereo with 2 systems but it's more simple to try to spot the difference if any. Again just S80 or S120 on their own does not give the same impact but still pleasent sounds. My favorite Beogram is also the 8002. I just can't say it's better than 6006. The 6006 is even in better condition. Dillen did the service on both and all the rest of my B&O. Nearly done. Still playing Master of Puppets second disc second side one on the 8002.

I'm sure it was :) The Beosystems 6000 and 8000, if looked after, are amazing value given their high performance vs. cost factor. Currently listening to 'How do you Sleep' by The Stone Roses on the Beosystem 6000. Sounding good.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Once they are working yes, I can agree on that. Both systems needed a rebuild exept my Beovox M150 but it's worth it in the long run. Rebuilding it gives more years of pleasure and value. As for value it evens out in the end. The CDX and Beolab 8000 system plays Slayer Hell Awaits.

Santogold's excellent debut album.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Time to use the Beocord 9000. One of many Jimi Hendrix tapes I got. 5-10-1968 at the Fillmore East and 3-17-70 Randalls Island. Rough bootlegs but Jimi never sounded the same from day to day or gig to gig.

Got Radiohead's Amnesiac on 10 inch vinyl when it came out. Just listening to 'I Might Be Wrong' on the Beogram 8002. I REALLY like this deck!

Downloaded E.S.T.'s LEUCOCYTE this afternoon. Somehow a strange album. I still feel very sorry when listening to that music, after E. Svensson death in June. What a pitty!

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Beocord 9000 plays Jimi Hendrix LA forum 1970. It's a bootleg recording but most of the noise and bad mix can be corrected via the BC9000 and BM8000.

Portico Quartet - knee-deep in the north sea. Heard it on Radio 4 when the Mercury awards were being discussed - very pleasant sound and sounds great in the car. Even better on my Grado RS1s though!

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Have you ever wondered what the Queen producer Roy Thomas Baker was doing when he was not producing Queen? He was in Denmark producing Danish Rock'n'roll band Gasolin' At the moment I'm listning to the remastered box set disc 4 on the cdx. In Danish: Stakkels Jim The English version: Last Jim Roy is one of the reason Gasolin' sounds like it does.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Beogram 8002 has made me invest in my vinyl collection. Just having a first listen to Paul Weller's Catch Flame live LP from Alexandra Palace - now playing 'Blink and You'll Miss It'. Sounds good ;)

Just found an internet radio station that plays nothing but Pink Floyd. Its called Pink Floyd Rock-O-Rama, not the best name I admit. Craig

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Just fell over Moby's album "Play" whilst tidying up because I couldn't bear to watch the Leeds Rhino's getting panned by St Helens any more. Stuck it on my System 5500 with the Beovox MC120.2's and - well blow me sideways - this album really demonstrates the detail of these fantastic speakers. BL3's, 4000's & 6000's? you can keep 'em! The sound of these wall mounted babies (original adjustable brackets) just carries throughout the whole house and the detail is present in every room. I'm getting more & more impressed with these speakers by the day - easily the best buy I ever made (cost nowt)! Chris.

Moved onto a bit of Cat Stevens while SWMBO is out getting whatever girls get at a hen party. Still sounding as good as it gets

Time for the Beogram 8002 to get a spin today. As said I try keep it 50-50 between 6006 and 8002. Still can't say who the winner is. Anyway time for some rock: Alanaha Myles debut album from 1989

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
I can recall the first ever discovering the most heavy record of all by S.O.D. A one of joke with the most insane lyrics/music you can think of by Anthrax members Scot Ian, Charlie Benante, Danny Lilker(former A member) and Bily Milano (MOD). At the time me and room mate went ower to a school friend to record some heavy to tape. Stopped by another friend to get vinyl on the way. While recording/copying I looked in the actual stereo rack to see what records there was. I came across the S.O.D. cover and took it out. Hmm. I wonder how this one sounds. It was also the first time I noticed lower tunning saying to my room mate: Is this at the wrong speed? I quickly made a copy. It still as good and a classic.
