I'm not shocked but admit that I'm surprised you're into P J Harvey Tom - you being classically trained and all that. She's brilliantly strange though and I've always had  a soft spot for her. BTW - how's married life? - love to the Mrs from me & the dogs.

I raided the flea markets today and found three new vinyl albums worth listening - Debussy's Préludes performed by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli (DG 1978), Sting's "The Dream of the Blue Turtles" and now I'm down to the last one, "Affection" by Lisa Stansfield.

The CDX is playing Live in Japan by Deep Purple.

Made in Japan is the old masterpiece of Deep Purple on the Machinehead tour with selected tracks from 3 concerts.

Live in Japan is all 3 concerts as complete as it can be.

Great stuff!

 

Deadmau5 - Random Album Title

Currently listening to Massive Attack's 100th Window. Great album, although overshadowed by the other three. I can't wait for the next one...

The Beogram 6006 is playing one of Gasolin' s (Danish rock band of the '70s) more obscure releases.

Killing Time which was recorded in 1978 with Felix Pappalardi ex Cream producer and Flemming Rasmussen early Metallica producer in the newly build Sweet Silence.

As a last resort to break into English speaking countries they did another record with english lyrics and singing. Once again Gasolin' in english was not succesfull and it flopped. The band broke up later in 1978.

 

Aimee Mann's Lost in Space album on the newly acquired BeoSound 4 and BeoLab 4000's. Both wonderful, the music and the system.

Ride the ligthning on vinyl 45rpm latest reissues on the Beogram 8002.

Re-recording side A of my Metal TDK tape as the beginning had the BC9000 record calibration not deleted.

 

Currently listening to Leftfields Leftism which I have bought for the third time as it either keeps getting nicked or I keep loosing it!

You've got good bands in Finland, Tournedos. I've been a fan of Husky Rescue since 2005. Never heard of Kemopetrol, but I liked the video in the link you posted. Now listening to Husky Rescue - Ghost is not Real.

You've got good bands in Finland, Tournedos. I've been a fan of Husky Rescue since 2005.

I have to admit I may have never heard of them myself until this year. A funny coinsidence though, years ago I sat for some days in the same tape edit with their singer's mother (now a member of the European parliament).
