Yazoo - Nobody's Diary. Their best track IMO, have the 12" on vinyl somewhere. Craig

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Beocord 9000 plays original tape of my uncle's first solo record from 1978. It's Danish, callled Portræt af en Bærber and my uncle is Nis P Jørgensen. A little family claim to fame is the fact that he wrote alot of stuff for artists including the most famous hits of Bamses Venner here in Denmark. You can only get his old stuff solo or Nispisband on cassete or vinyl.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Gustav Holst - Neptune, the Mystic.
The Planets is one of my favourite suites of music, and I really think Holst was arguably the greatest composer when it comes to orchestration - just amazing textures and soundscapes.
The only other composers who IMO have managed to get things sounding so unique are Stravinsky and Reich (who always sounds very unique anyway).

'Deserter's Songs' by Mercury Rev. Not sure what instrument they're playing on track 1 - 'Holes'. Zither? Saw? Mellotron? Unworldly..

Pet Shop Boys - Discography, one of those albums I have not listened to in a long long time. Forgot just how good some of their tracks were. Craig

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Blast from the past. One of my only and few guitarless records. Before converting 100% to rock'nroll in 1989. Technotronic Pump up the jam. Full lp. A bit scratched of non B&O players aka crap stereo I hardly can remember anymore. The Beogram 6006 plays it with really no hitches or noise just the "music" Electronic music were better back then!

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Thin Lizzy Thunder and Lightning on the cdx and Beolab 8000 system. Been a Lizzy fan since 2000 when I by chance got a Marshall guitar amplifier used by them. It has the sound of that album. I have a hard time to find out if the white 6000 system is better than the 8000 but they are close despite the difference here and there. It's great to have the 2 in the same room. The 6000 is a great alarmclock. Nothing like waking up at 7 am with the sound of a Beogram 6006 starting one of your favorite records.

Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?
Just finished listening to Court & Spark by Joni Mitchell on vinyl. Been listening through a Rega Planar 3 (R200 tonearm, I'm not lucky enough for an RB300 ), BeoMaster 6500 & B&W DM303s - excellent. I have considered a speaker upgrade though, and B&W's latest 68x range is absolutely jaw-droppingly good considering it's price. Can't afford the BeoLabs I'd like!
