Worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed?

First of all, I love bang & Olufsen, but surely there must be some products that should not have left the drawing board! What is the worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed in your opinion?

I would say the A9 key ring. I have two of the first generation and they have already cost me a small fortune in battery replacements, since they happily keep transmitting when they are moved around in pockets and bags. Furthermore a CD control button should have been included, now it's only radio, tv and light.

Worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed.

Beovox X25 speakers - dreadful things with no redeeming features whatsoever.

I'd somewhat agree. I don't think I've recently used my A9. A couple of times it turned on the TV by mistake, managed to turn off my landlords B&O TV whilst we were watching a movie (the keyring was in my pocket) and it can't be assigned to turn on, say, V.MEM which means I then have to find my remote and switch to V.MEM (Sky). It doesn't control the Beosound 3, either, which means I can't use it to control that radio.

    So, it's almost pointless.

Beocenter 2000. I bought one for a laugh and now use it in my garage with some X25s (Chris - you're right, they're awful).

How have you guys forgotten to mention BeoTalk 1200?

Terrible interface in my opinion. I can't understand why and how they are selling for so much on eBay.

Surely the DVD 1 is a deserving candidate?

Singularly unimpressive performance from a stupendously overpriced underdesigned eyesore.

I like mine : it's "my personal secretary" for years now, without any nagging, wining and salary of the real non B&O version.

does'nt Beany the Grate know the difference between product and productS in the original question?

The lack of taste of Flappo must be world famous by now .[ no BL5 no BL3 etc.] Hmm

Unimpressive? perhaps,  overpriced? perhaps; but for me my 3 DVD1's are doing their jobs perfectly for many years now, so I for one do appreciate the DVD1.

Whilst agreeing the A9 was a poor product, I have to query what is actually meant by the phrase 'the worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed'.

Is it the worst 'design' that is being asked or their worst product? Something can be beautifully designed yet be a duff product or an excellent product but a poor design.

Don't know how you can say BeoSystem 3! It's the prettiest box ever designed to be hidden out of the way - and what a performer too!

ah- no comment!  everything is changing at B&O and prices will come down for sure, particularly for flat screen LCD. Just be careful about what comments one makes about 'crappy products' that come from outside the EU- you will be eating your words within about 9 months!

Terrible interface in my opinion. I can't understand why and how they are selling for so much on eBay.

I recently bought one,and I agree that the interface induces the "heeby jeebies",but having set it up,I have grown to appreciate it's capabilities.

No such problems with the Beocom 2500 I bought at the same time!
