I know, it's with the silver dial and jubilee bracelet, but right now it's getting serviced and the dial changed into a blue one.

I got it for my 40th birthday, and, as it happens, so did my dad 25 years ago.

Of course, he bought himself a new Rolex...

And yes, that's my arm.

Like fridsten, I had the face changed during a CLA in Florida about four years ago.

The face is a "California" style I bought from... California!

Panerai are not only the nicest watches out there, but also the most exclusive and original i personally believe(everybody at the airline i work at has Breitling and Omega).  The 244 being my favourite. Have you looked at this...

Above is a website for Panerai fans, there are even weekends away when groups of "blokes" get together and celebrate not being terribly modest or subtle, but the fact they own a beautiful(but rather large) time piece. Looks great fun and rather innocent.

Flipped the "Yachty" for this one yesterday. Too nice of a find to pass on...

Rare Ref 168000 (triple zero) Submariner. Only made for about 9 months. Last "0" was stamped extra to the cases of Ref 16800, for internal identification. Steel changed from previously used 316 to 904 grade. (still used by Rolex today, no other watch company uses it)

It's basically the first modern "Sub" as it's virtually same as the common Ref 16610 Submariner, but it differs in a few ways. Bracelet, the clasp is not the same found on later 16610, and the date wheel has the "vintage open" numbers, meaning another font, but biggest different is the "open numbers" meaning that the "6"'s and "9"s don't close, but are open.

I found an exceptionally good example of it, full set with box and papers, one owner before me, and his name is written on the papers. Originally bought in Turku back in december 1988. Maybe this was his christmas gift?

Perfect unpolished case, with all parts original. Can't help but put a smile on my face.

I've just bought myself a Jorg Gray 6500, second hand but never worn, for £160. Very pleased with it.

If one day I have a lot of money (can't see it happening really) I'll purchase the other two as well.....

Bought something a bit unusual for me today... A dress watch, although I think The dial and numerals makes it more sporty than normal.

Nice.  Vintage, I presume?

Even as a dress jewel, I suppose it is still waterproof, etc, because it reads "oyster" on the label?
