Re: What is your favorite watch?

I had decided about 2 months ago to invest in a decent watch and have been on the look out since then.

Whilst travelling in Ireland, I fell in love with a Breil watch known as the Milano.
The insides are Swiss whilst the facade is Italian.. I asked a few watch repairmen about this model and they all said it was a wise investment.

I have only had it for a few days, I paid around £350 but it feels as good as a Tag or Rolex (My grandfather used to let me wear his Rolex, and I was close to buying a Tag and have tried a few on).

    Ain't she pretty?! :)

    Stars:

I hope this Bell & Ross I saw on holiday will be my next purchase!

I was soooo close to buying a Bell & Ross, we even went to Harrods; but settled in the end on a Breil.

Would be interested to hear your thoughts once you own this watch!!

I really, really like the Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust 36mm

Wondeful watch! I had the same w/ Jubilee/black/fluted. Great for sport and/or dress. A real classic, though like you -I suppose I would prefer the Oyster bracelet. My brother still has it!

I am a dolt, or just getting old.

After seeing AT's pic of the two-tone faced Rolex... I realized I have one! Embarrassed

Jubilee/blue-green (non fade)/smooth. Obviously, I don't wear it much! Laughing

Recently, I pulled an old watch out for re-banding... Lanco (Langendorf Watch Co.). I bought the watch new from a small watch shop in Basel, Switzerland in 1977. A bit worn, but still keeps excellent time! It is also a two-tone face: red-black (fade).

You know what... truth can be stranger than fiction.

Not a DB5, but yes, that did happen to me. Laughing

About ~15 years ago, I deposited an Aston into a tree backwards (long story). The rebuild took ~4 years.

    I often forgot about it.

I have this guru (or geek, whichever way you preffer to look at it) friend who has his flats usually pretty stocked up. One time after he moved he told he found a couple of servers running in a closet and he had totally forgotten about their existence!

So yeah, pretty much the same thing I think...

    Thanks!

Was a pain to get it on, the pins where so thick, that I had to "force" the bracelet onto the holding pins. Well, can't say I'm a quitter... Laughing

Actually wearing the Deepsea now. Still not sure the Omega is the right watch for me... Still lurking for that Blancpain Fifty Fathoms to partner my Deepsea Seadweller.
