Can anyone identify this motor ?
Can anyone identify this motor ? It's apprx 60mm (6cm) in diameter, housing is apprx 26mm high. Spindle is apprx 5mm diameter. It's a 14VDC motor with a 2-pin connector on a cable. I believe it's used in some newer (post-1990) B&O machines but which one(s) and for what ? Martin

Re: Can anyone identify this motor ?
Hello I opened a CD 650 and found a very similar motor on the cd (drawer) loading mechanism, diameter and height are similar (I haven't dismounted...).
Hope this helps ciao ciao

I take it that you mean a CD6500. Thanks, that could be one place it fits, maybe it will fit other places. Martin

Re: Can anyone identify this motor ?
Thanks, guys. Yes, it's way too large to fit in a Beogram CD6500. Maybe the Philips player. A Beosound 9000 sledge motor sounds more like it. Martin

It is a sledge motor from a Beosound 9000. No question. I believe they were also used as disc motors in laserdisc players.

It's phenomenal the ammount of knowledge available on tap on Beoworld. Between the 4631 of us, there's not much we don't know! Funny though, nobody seemed to know what this was.

Thanks for the input Cozza ! Well, I have a couple of these motors, brand new. Jandyt, maybe if you'll let us know about what size it is ? Martin

You'll be pleased to know that they hardly ever fail. Unless a 110V Beosound 9000 is accidentally plugged into 230V, that is.

Hmm, Is it a false nail on one of your jumpers that has bits of haystack embedded in it? Ring a bell?
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

Here's the motor of a BC9500 in situ for comparison:
