Beogram 2400 arm not returning at end of record

The arm sets down at the proper place on the record but does not lift and return unless I lift it past the end of the record. Sounds like an adjustment needs to be made. Any ideas? Thanks!

There isn't actually an adjustment as such for this - I wonder in this case whether the mechanism needs cleaning. It is the lead out track that usually causes the arm to lift. Does it never lift?

It lifts on 50% of my albums. Which mechanism needs cleaning? The big plastic wheel?

Had a chat to a friend about this - it is the silicon damping for the arm drop. The trick is to take off the platter, secure the arm, turn the turn table upside down and take the bottom off. There is a brass pin which is part of the damping mechanism. You need to dribble a little WD40 down the brass pin - it should get into the silicon and thins it a bit.

Which country are you in? I don't think this type of 2400 was sold in the UK.
