I think that it is not so easy to mute the system by turning the wheel very fast. When I try to do so, it works only in about 60 percent of the cases. Therefore I would like to know if I can create a softbutton to mute the speakers. Is there an ir code that I could use to send a mute command? Many thanks in advance for any helpul reply.

Der DVD2 war ja nicht sehr lange am Markt und im Vergleich zu anderen B&O-Geräten konnte man hier schnell den Eindruck gewinnen, B&O hätte sich nicht viel Mühe gegeben, die Bedienoberfläche so zu gestalten, wie man es bei diesem Hersteller erwartet. Alias: Gibt es denn keine Recorder die von meiner BV 7 unterstützt wird? Bist Du denn sicher, dass der DVD2 vom BV7 nicht unterstützt wird? Ansonsten nur noch der HDR2 (nur HDD-Rekorder ohne Brenner). Alle anderen Geräte von Drittanbietern nur mit entsprechender Anpassung. Wenn Du also kein B&O-Gerät als Rekorder nehmen möchtest

When you are accessing N.Music/N.Radio in a link room: are the Beolab-Speakers connected to the Beoport switching on? Or do you only hear the sound from the PC speakers connected direclty to your PC (or internal PC speakers)? Or both?

I have connected my Beoport via the Speaker-Output of my soundcard. Therefore the internal speakers of my laptop are muted. If you are using the LineOut-Output of your soundcard, the internal speakers are usually not muted. I wonder why the behaviour of your system changed if you only updated the software. Or did you also changed the cable connections

Einen DVD2 an einem Avant 28 RF VTR würde ich gerne als AUX2 ansteuern, denn laut DVD2-Anleitung soll der Player dann immer im Tuner-Modus starten, auch wenn eine DVD eingelegt ist (während bei Konfiguration als "DVD" und eingelegter DVD diese gleich anfängt abzuspielen, auch wenn gar nicht gewünscht). I have tried it with center OK following cipher 2 manually on the Beo5 now, and it worked.
