Now I have WIFI but can I use it e.g. with ATV and Itunes or just for Encore?
NO, WiFi to Beo6 works, at least at the moment, just for BeoSound/BeoMaster 5 combos. If you don't have such a combo, switch wireless on your Beo 6 to "off " to reduce power consumption
How do they connect? Will there be an adapter from PowerLink to RJ45PL? Are they in stores yet and if not when will they be available?
The new versions of PowerLink cables DIN<>RJ 45 as well as RJ 45<>RJ 45 are available from B&O since last year. My local dealer has some of them already on stock
You need the braided shield that isn't present in Cat6.
The difference in bandwidth between Cat 6 or Ca 7 is not important, if you want to use Cat x instead of original ML. It's the layout of the shielding/screening of the cable that matters!. To replace an original ML cable ONLY cables described

The BeoMedia 1 connects to the ML socket located at "AV5" on the BeoSystem 3. Using a Master Link cable, your audio system will be connected to the Master Link socket on the side connection panel ! If all speakers are connected to the BV9 and none to the BSd 3000 option settings will be: "V.OPT" "2" and "A.OPT"
However, does this update also work for BeoSound 5 Encore?
The recent update is for BSd/BM5 and the version # is 6.05.01.3357. For all BSd5s with ripping station the update offers now the choice to rip WMA-Lossless as before and now, additionally, MP3- 320-Kbit/sec for compatibility to i-Devices ...
The Beosystem has Powerlink Rear Left and Powerlink Rear Right outputs, I believe, but the Beolink Passive only has a single Powerlink input, so how would this need to be connected?
Hello and wellcome ... Every PL plug/cable/socket is carrying both (L+R) channels - there is no "left" and "right"
. Should I connect the BV10 and control panel of BC2 with an optical cable?
Neither the BV10 nor the BC2 offer optical in or outputs. But you can connect both units via a SPDIF = RCA to RCA coaxial digital (cinch) cable.
BeoSound3000 is in option 1 and Passive kit is option 4 as its open plan and commands used to "sneak" to the kitchen hence the need for the "link" command.
Depending which SW version your BSd 3000 and Passive have, using the BL1000 and pressing "LINK" "PHONO" might work

Just an idea, a 7pin DIN of the AV cable also fits into the 8pin PowerLink socket of the BeoLink Converter ...
There are position 1,2,3,4...etc but no 0 position.
Maybee this answers the question: 1 turns the tv to the maximum left, 5 to the middle and 9 to the most rightward position
