I'm sorry to get personal – but the design of that stuff (Neovo/Lian Li) is tragic – whoever produced that has had a taste lobotomy (yes; I am a designer). Apple is beautiful – Ive's designs have a heritage dating right back to the elegant Dieter Rams Braun design of the 50's and 60's. They are a quantum leap from what

Sorry to be a pain. I will elaborate further. I am considering getting a Beocenter 2 and I am trying to work out if there is an auto-switching option on the BC2 that will leave the screen on the BV8 dormant whilst I listen to music CD's. I am presuming this can only happen with masterlink installed – although I am hoping this is not the case

The TV is a BV8 32. I don't think it does have a masterlink from your description. At the moment I have Beolab 3s running from the powerlink with a splitter. There is no mention of the masterlink in the manual. I will check the back tomorrow. Please post if anyone knows how to check via the onscreen menu. Cheers mason

Hi everyone. Is it possible to tell if a beovision has masterlink by using the onscreen interface? Is there such a thing as a masterlink module that can be aquired if the TV has not got this facility and if so does it have to be fitted into the TV or can it sit away from the unit – like a kind of hub? Sorry if this sounds a bit stupid. Cheers

Thanks Peter and thank you for always replying so promptly – I don't post often (as you can see), but whenever I ask a question you always deliver an answer really quickly. One more question, I presume the FM tuner is standard on the BC2? Therefore I ideally need the BC2 with DVD (to replace my ageing DVD1 and consolidate my set-up). Mason

Evening fellas. Can someone advise me on the Beocenter 2. I am going to add a BC2 to my Beovision 8 and Beolab 3 combo. I understand there are several BC2 permutations. I am going to buy used so I need to get my head around this. Thanks in advance. Mason

Why the downer on the latest B&O designs? I am confused at people comparing products of today with those of the 80's/90's. The harsh reality is that the design of any object is ultimately a result of the function. Todays products have been condensed – the technology is more refined – the physicality of the object doesn't

The iphone is an amazing product. Amongst the product design fraternity it is considered the quantum leap in cell phones. A beautiful, intuitive interface, regular software updates and brilliant synchronisation with apple iphoto, itunes and diary. The Serene and Serenata just don't compare. I got one on the day it was released and I love it –

Couldn't agree more. The triangle thing as never done it for me either. It just looks ill-proportioned.

Hey Trip Your claims about Beosound 5 have already been disproved.I am afraid the "THX certification, a single hair from George Lucas' beard" is already in use on this AV product. Check it out.http://www.nikkor2d2.com/BTW, no – I won't be getting one. I'll be holding out for some Danish stuff :)
