Obvious perhaps but I assume you've pressed the little button on the pstn to allow the 5mins to re-register the phone?

I didn't think they had electricity in France. Will you be using a car battery or something?

He wont be able to submerge it with all it's innards still in. correct... you could not re-anodise using this process. -as you are not removing any components -just masking them off. as far as my last comment -i was leaning more towards a lacquer or similar finish

mobeyone: I have heard that £150 is paid and the phone is exchanged for a new one. Sort of. I called a couple of dealers this morning. I'm told that they don't do a swap over unless the phone is in pretty good condition (which kind of defeats the object somewhat). It's generally done to assist those whose phone might have developed

I have a bc2 which frankly has seen better days. I was wandering about the viability of having the phone re-anodised. That would obviously involve removing all the guts of the phone and leaving just the aluminium tube. Has anyone done this? How easy is it to dissasembe and then re-assemble the bc2? If this is possible then it should be possible to get

Having now got my new (to me anyway) beocom system all set up and working, could anyone tell me whether it is o.k. just to keep the handset in the charger, or will this shorten the battery life? Not so bad on the kitchen phone which is in use on and off all day, but the other phones might go unused for days at a time. They do look best in their stands

More by luck than judgment really but I have now got everything working as it should be. I noticed at the bottom of the box a black splitter which came with the phone, so now I have wall socket into adsl filter, into black splitter with the base in to the rj11 socket, and the bt1200 into the phone socket via an rj11 to bt converter.
