Hi all - my 32" Avant (curved screen) VHS is not working - when I go to play a VHS all i get is a horizontal red line across the screen yet it will rewind the cassette via the buttons on the top of the TV. It will not respond to the remote at all but loads and ejects correctly. Any ideas.... Not a massive issue as don't use VHS often at all

Now, I have some old speakerlink wires and I have the plugs to go into the back of the CX50s. Cutting the speakerlinks (as I had the 4 din plugs on both ends) reveals coax cable yet the wire to the plugs of the CX50s are normal wires - can

Hi Peter - never refoamed before so it'd be my first attempt! Is it difficult to get right or is it worth replacing the whole drivers since the speakers are from 1987? Would the re-foam be adequate or will the woofers stand a good chance of being knackered? Cheers.

Hi all - lucky enough to have got myself 2 pairs of Beovox 50's (one aluminium) and one pair of 100s from a house undergoing a renovation so these were link rooms speakers from 1987 and the foams have gone on all speakers. Question is do I refoam using Goodhifi's kits or just get new 4" woofers for all to get the best sound and if so where

I'm just cleaning up a pair of Beovox aluminium cased speakers and use Autosol - superb. Ebay has loads of it and cheap too.

Thanks for the info - I'm using seperate remotes for the V box and DVD recorder so may need the upgrade!! What specifically is the IR box I need - which hopefully I can source from Maplins and save a few quid!! Been quoted £375 for the remote to include programming but with the other bits it is £510 so starts to take it into 'do
