  • Re: Beolab 8000 front grill/fret removal

Got them home and they sound muffled. I've got one of my 6000s and one 8000 working and the 6000 blows it away for top end and clarity - same for both 8000s - is this the tweeter on both. They have been in storage for the last 9 yrs - they cleaned up ok but don't sound fantastic..... If it is the tweeter how much would B&O charge to replace

The seller has described them as in good working order so i will be insisting on a return if they do not work when i get them home. I'm going to view from a meeting in my region so don't really want to leave my Beosound 3000 in my boot all day just in case (knowing my luck anyway!!) Will be taking my power cables from my 6000s to see if they

I don't mind at all Graham - he said they could be mine for £800 cash. They are not 100% cosmetically - a few scratches here and there mainly to the backs of the aluminium as they will be situated where the backs are not highly visible so as long as they are not too bad i think they will be a nice upgrade to my 6000s which i hope to get £600

Cheers for the replies - unfortunately i don't think i'll be able to hear them working as the seller has no stereo to hook them upto!! He has had them since new (1998) and look in decent condition from the photos but going for a closer inspection mid-week......

  • Beolab 8000 front grill/fret removal

Hi all - hoping to acquire some lab 8000s in the week but will be bought untested and without power cables. 2 questions really - firstly how do you remove the fronts so i can see the woofers to make sure they are in good condition and secondly will the power cables for my 6000s fit? Thanks in advance.

  • Beo5 new user comments

Hi all - i've had my Beo5 for about a month now and thought i'd post my initial thoughts as some tend to become dissillusioned with it quite quickly. I was fortunate enough to have the support and programming skills of the one and only Mr Keith Saunders to get my remote exactly to my tastes and working to my setup which included 2 non B&O

  • Beo 5 and Eurovox STB

Hi all - I have the opportunity to purchase a Eurovox set top box to replace my current V box which tends to freeze a lot. Can the Beo5 control it as it would any other STB i.e. get the channel logos programmed etc.... Any help appreciated as Beo 5 very close to being on order but not if it cannot work the Eurovox box.....

  • Re: Sound Quality

Snoopy - fantastic job and I, like you, think the Pentas are some of the best sounding speakers i've ever heard. Well done that man!

  • Re: avant stb question

I dont have a link system and wont as i have a small house and there is really need. I agree with you Peter (not about you being an idiot of course ) but about the need for the config tool at least!! Its my main concern when going for the Beo 5!! Really dont want to be back and forth to the dealers when I decide I want another hardkey or button added

  • Re: avant stb question

Quoted from my local B&O dealers (Solihull) as they are who i'm ordering the Beo5 from. I didn't fancy opening up the back of the Avant having no idea about the internals of TVs. The price includes their costly call-out fee of course!! Got the same quote from B&O Mailbox so must be a standard type of fee.
