Hi, I just joined as a silver member and downloaded the files. Then found the screws and adjusted them to raise the platter a bit, but it turns out that the right hand screw is barely lifting the platter. The other 2 are perfect. It's a bit of a pain, I've got it to where it'll play 7"s okay without scraping and slowing down, but 12"s

So my beogram 5005 has turned up and I have it hooked up through datalink or whatever it's called to my beomaster 5500 and that's all working fine, the records and radio are playing through my speakers etc. I think I got a pretty good deal, it's in almost mint condition, there is only one tiny scratch on the top + it came with

You were saying Peter that I need an mcp to program, do you mean to input radio station presets? Can the beolink 1000 not do this at all? (just that I've found one going fairly cheaply)

Peter: You need a remote! Stupid , isn't it! The original Beomaster 5000 has a flip down panel with controls on it. You really need a MCP5500 as then you can program it. Red Lines are fine though any speakers are fine in the short term. It is a 55W amplifier so bear than in mind. I would offer you some speakers on loan but I think you are in the
