I just bought a Beocenter 8000 with a pair of RL 6000 in mint condition and it's a joy to use it, BUT when I play my old tapes it instantly switches over to Dolby C and it sounds awfully. Is there any way to turn Dolby off? (I don´t think I ever used Dolby C when recording these old tapes.) By the way, is it possible to get a digital copy

Peter, Gerd or anyone, I bought a used MX 7000 today and it doesn't show any sign of life. No red light, no sound, nothing. Is there a main fuse or some "reset button" I can check before taking it apart? Is there a service manual available so that I can make a basic check? Very grateful for assistance, Lennart in Stockholm

No question is a silly question, but no, I am positive it was a real fault in the beomaster (and so said two very experienced repairmen). And now some good news: Hopefully I have got my Beomaster 5500 fixed from this volume problem. The repairman says he replaced the "2 C 14" capacitor (10uF 16V) and now it's hopefully fixed. I haven't

Jag har problem med att en av mina RL 140-högtalare låter lite dovt, kan det vara delningsfiltret eller något högtalarelement? Kan man köpa en ny diskanthögtalare? Hur mycket tar du för att reparera baselementen? Lennart

I have the same problem with my Beomaster 5500 (almost scared my wife to death!!!). For a while I started the Beosystem by pressing Tape (with no cassette in the player), which gave me time to lower the volume manually. However I got tired of that and handed it in for reparation, but my ordinary contact couldn´t fix it so I will try another service
