Are there any affordable options for this? The Lutron 3103 seems perfect, but it is very expensive. Are there any other choices?

Adjusting the pot did the trick! I now have to 5000's balanced perfectly in brightness. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks, Mika. I'll give that a try. I swapped my grey molding and base with someone's blue unit, but we each kept our respective electronics, so something could have been bumped in the transition. I'm certainly comfortable looking into the electronics - I'll give that a try!

I have an interesting issue. One of my Beolab 5000's has a display that is so bright it is hard to make out the letters and numbers except at a high angle. It is displaying the correct information. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

The Lutron manual says it is for the Beo4. I'm wondering if the other remotes send the same light codes.

Will this work? I have an older audiophile passive subwoofer with a crossover network for two satellite speakers. The subwoofer is 4 ohms. Will this work the Beomaster 7000? Can I damage it?

Update. The 7000 unit in the link room will reliably display the clock IF I tap the silver plate after the main unit is in standby. This cycles properly and then puts up the clock.

Regarding the schematic, another user posted the XTRA manual links for you that shows how to hook things up. I have a Beomaster 4500 system (which is MCL) connected to a Beolink which connects via ML to an Avant (which is ML) connected to Penta 1's and Beolab 4's in the rear, with the XTRA/7000 in another room.
