Is the apple tv updated to the newest software version (4.4.4) ? I think there has been some problems regarding sound from the optical out. Try also the settings mentined in this link http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3789

This might have been asked before so appologies if there allready is a topic (I just couldn't find it). A colleage of mine has a BV 7 40 (MK3 I think) and a Beosond 4 that are masterlinked together. Question is: Can he attach an Apple TV2 via HDMI to the BV 7 and play music through the masterlink to the Beosound 4 and link rooms? I know that masterlink

I don't think they can just make a software update for exsisting units. They have to pay a license fee to Apple for every unit they use airplay in. Who should pay for the allready sold Encores?

Actually the Iphone 3GS won't act as a personal hotspot. Only Iphone 4 or later as stated in this Apple support document: Personal Hotspot I tried connecting my Airport Express to my Iphone 4's personal hotspot and it worked like a charm with airplay, so i guess it will work with the Beolit 12 as well. I found nothing in the manual stating otherwise

One thing to note if you are going to exchange parts between the two enclosures is that the MK1 has a LED in the enclosure where the MK2 that is only a charger does not

the on to use should be marked UHF and VHF. The other one is probably for an inbuilt satelite reciever (it will be sorounded by a lot of other connectors) and will not be usefull for your purpose
