  • Re: The BeoSound 8 - Live Review!!!

Firmly on the fence about the design thus far - would have to see it in person. I agree that the actual 'dock' connector should be hidden - when an iDevice isn't present it really ruins the lines of the device. If it sounds as good as reported, it may be added to the collection - my wife has wanted an iPod dock for a long time but I'm

  • Re: BEOSOUND 3

Hi Davy, Mine's the same: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/35465.aspx Consensus is it's a known manufacturing fault, and your dealer should repair free of charge - I'll be printing the thread out and taking into my dealer - I'll let you know how I get on if you don't beat me to it. Cheers, Nick

  • Beosound 3 control problems

Hi, After letting it slip my mind for the best part of a year I happened to be passing my B&O dealer today, and I remembered that my Beosound 3 is broken - the controls stop working and it turns itself on and off. I remember reading here that this was a 'known' problem, so my question is thus: Does anyone know if this is a recognised B&O

  • Beolab 11

Any opinions on the BL11 thus far? I have the BL2, which I'm considering trading in - too powerful for my room, great for films, not so hot for music (the usual). Wondering about the BL11, whether this would fit the bill - the other option (albeit further off) is to get rid of my BL2 and BL8000's and plump for some BL9's... Cheers, Nick

  • Re: Beonet

Thanks for the info guys. So, in summation and unless I'm mistaken, Beonet is nothing more than substitution from proprietary to open cable standards, with retro fit for existing proprietary connectors. I also don't need to run all my connections via a patch panel - this merely adds flexibility to the system (and I might as well whilst I have

  • Beonet

Hi, I've recently purchased a few more pieces of B&O and I'm now looking to MasterLink my house - how far off is Beonet and how does this differ from the MasterLink Gateway, if at all? I'd really prefer the neatness of the new solution, from what I've managed to ascertain thus far, with ML and PL over the same physical presentation

  • Re: Floor stand for BS4

The standard BS4 floor stand, like the BL4 floor stands have no internal cable housing, so you're left with all the cabling hanging out of the back of the unit, rather than neatly threaded inside the stand column. You can use the BS3200 or BC2 floor stand (with the appropriate plate from STB) to conceal the cables - looks much neater. Don't

  • Re: Former avant owners

I traded up to a BV7-40 Mk III, and I'm very happy with it. The technical drawbacks of current LCD technology are apparent, but it looks glorious with Sky HD and Blu-Ray, and makes a very good effort of upscaling DVD's. Most of my mates have also commented how much better it is than their Sony/Panasonic/Philips equivalent etc. I looked at the
