  • Re: Older Beogram 2000 cartridge help needed.

You're welcome. It will also probably benefit from a replacement drive belt as you won't know how old the current one is. They are available particularly via the German eBay site, for example as in item 130490418720. A clean and lubrication may also be necessary or beneficial. There is plenty of info on this site for that e.g. DO NOT USE WD40

  • Re: Beogram 1202 Belt sourcing.. and general advice needed

Hi George and welcome to Beoworld. It sounds as though the belt is overstretched and could even be the original! It would be best to replace it with a new one anyway. I don't know about UK stockists but eBay is usually as good a place as any for new belts (particularly the ebay.de site) there is one listed as item number 350513339564, and another

Welcome to Beoworld. The dial towards the rear of the left side is fine adjustment for the motor speed. Set the platter to run at 25 or 30 (cm) and using a filament lamp connected to the mains, observe the stroboscopic black dots around the outside top edge of the platter. When they are seen to be stationary the speed is correct. You can fine adjust

  • Re: 3404 turntable very loud hum only when record is not playing

Hi Bob and welcome to Beoworld. Some of the earlier derivatives of the 3404 had an RIAA inbuilt but I don't know if that applies to the 3404 as it's a US, not European model? Have you tried it without using your preamp?. I've had some turntables that produce hum when not earthed to the amp I've used so you could try an earth lead to

I, and presumably someone else agrees as it's now gone.

  • Re: BEOGRAM 5000 TURNTABLE NO POWER

Sometimes fuses look 'good' but in fact aren't. I test even new ones with a multimeter for continuity. Occasionally I find one that looks good but with no continuity so have to throw it away. Find a good fuse (tested with a meter) and try it. If it blows in situ, you have a further problem. Are you using the correctly rated and type of fuse

He's open to offers! I don't think it's that bad if you look at the current going rates on eBay for Thorens TD 124's. Another on eBay.de is starting at 1850€ and I saw one earlier today at over 3000€. For this Beogram 3000, I'd be tempted if I hadn't just been made redundant! It would go nicely with my restored 5000

  • Re: beogram 3404 electronics problem?

Welcome to Beoworld. I think the deck will only operate fully when a record is on the platter as the black centre disc acts as a sensor. Try with a record on the deck. The record spins with the button you mention so you can clean the disc without the tonearm moving into the way.

  • Re: Could some one help please. Urgent.

Stonk's a stonker. Thanks for the message. All I need is the address of Richard (beaker) so I can talk to him about collecting the Beogram while I'm in the UK between Oct 22nd and Nov 05th. I'd rather do that than Richard send it. Richard, can you reply to this post? Dave.

  • Re: Beocord 2000 T DeLuxe

If the T delux is essentially the same as the K model and as there doesn't seem to be a user manual for the T model in the products section I can only go from my 2000K model. Left side is (from L to R) Line out, Radio, Phono, mic. Right side is A speakers L and R, B speakers L and R. Additionally, underneath the unit are parallel US connectors Speakers
