I've transported an Avant 32 over a distance of 60-odd miles in the back of my E-class - the hydraulic suspension will help a bit, and it'll fit with no problems (as long as it's not in its original packaging, I suspect that'd be a bit tight). If you can, take a few duvets / pillows / WHY to stuff under the middle. Avoid putting any

Many thanks, Marc! Now, where did I put my Sencore 7000? I'll pass this on to Simon, see if he thinks it's possible and whether he has the tools - if this works this could be a very useful procedure, as you say, there are many sick and dying Avant's out there and it would be nice to be able to expand their lifespans. It's either this

Perhaps I should look further into the problem... the picture is fine except for the green channel, which appears to be completely out of control - when no image is being displayed the screen has a dark green tinge all over with faint lines through it. Is this repairable? My knowledge of TV control mechanisms isn't fantastic, but I presume that

Morning all... it's ten to four on a Tuesday morning, and I'm at work. This is not right. Ah well.... I may need to look in to the possibility of changing the tube on the Avant; does anyone know where to get one from, or a good place to take it to? Simon of AVA services in Coulsdon (beneath the B&O shop there) has been recommended to me

Ahhh. So I did accidentally affect the control modes when I set up the Avant/MPAV, then. Ooops. Thanks Peter!

I do have full control, but as mentioned above, it doesn't seem possible to get the MPAV menus (eg tuning) to appear on the Avant. Which is a pity. It is simply connected via the Masterlink cable, with the Avant set to Option 2, and the MPAV (supposedly) set to option 0.

Hi all, Now that I have my MPAV9000 working with the Beovision Avant, all is right with the (beo)world.... except.... Since I set up the MPAV and Avant in the same room as my Beocenter 8500, the 8500 now won't respond to any of my remotes!!! Not the 1000, or 5000, or 7000, or Beo4. Why? I have set the 5000 and 7000 to one-way operation, but the

Excuse my ignorance, and I appreciate that I am talking to people far more electronically gifted than myself... but could it possibly be a short in the external circuitry (eg either chewed cables, a stray wire strand at speaker terminals, or internal within speaker)? That would cause the clip circuit to remain "on" would it not? Very best

It works! Itworksitworksitworks. :-)

Weeeeeelll.... I will sell it for a reasonable price if it can't be made to work with my Avant or one of the MX's. In the mean time, my MPAV has SW version 1.1, and I have a masterlink cable sitting there idle... so wish me luck, I'm going to flick the switch. If you hear a sonic boom... :-)
