according to a bunch of forum posts, it seems as the common understanding was that the MPAV9000 did not have any IR capabilities. I have had my MPAV9000 connected to my Avant(Master link) and controlled it via my remote/Avant...worked ok Yesterday I bought the CD/Overture stand and placed the MPAV9000 on it and I started to notice some strange things

good idea, but unfortunatly not usable for me ;-) I have a MPAV 9000 and it is hocked up to my Avant. it works well to play CD or Radio (controlled through Beo4/BL1000)...but the main problem is that the buttons on the MPAV does not work... so I was thinking about conneting the buttons on the MPAV to a old BL 1000 circuit board to send the IR commands

Hi, I am working on a small project at home and it includes customizing a BL 1000...so I need some help. I am planning on only using the circuit board from the BL 1000...and now the problem comes. at the top of the circuit board (between the ID LEDs) there are 13 pins that needs to be connected to eachother in different combinations in order to generate

thx, I got it to work... :-D the only thing missing is to be able to see the source info on the MPAV and to be able to use the MPAVs buttons... -but I guess that will NOT be possible :-(

so did I get this right. it is possible to use a MPAV9000 with a non AV9000 TV? -like the Avant for example? I just need to have a ML cable between them? (and probably run the MPAV9000 in service mode??) any help/input would be great! /m

The pin is a theft protection pin... I hope you bought it from a B&O dealer and not "on the street"... you dealer can probably help you to solve this good luck /m

cool, thanks for the info. in my case the vcr is not working anymore and I really dont have any use for it...so I figgued, why not use that space better... /m

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the VCR from an avant 8111 (of course without removing any functionality except the VCR) the idea I have is to place a DVD or a Nintendo Wii where the VCR is located. thx /m
